Kate was with Nat and Sarah at the diner stalking a guy that Nat had ended up liking on her earth where they had found out that he was having a party tonight. Kate decided she needed a girl's night since her best friends as probably her brothers and that was a slight problem.
"We have to go to this party, it's, like, meant to be," Sarah remarked to the girl
"We can't just go to Metropolis," Nat deadpanned to the girls
"Why not? I have a car," Sarah spoke in confusion
"Your mom will be okay with that?" Nat questioned with a look
"She's busy with mayor stuff so she won't even notice I'm gone," Sarah explained softly
"Come on, we are making a sacred vow of friendship to be your wing woman and you can finish your homework tomorrow," Kate convinced the girl
"Oh, no, no, I'm doing a project for the DOD," Nat corrected the blonde
"Close your laptop, we're definitely going to that party," Sarah stated in response
"Okay, I'll pick you up in thirty?" Sarah questioned them some more
"Hey, guys," Jon greeted as they walked in
"Hey, we were just leaving, so you guys could take our seats," Sarah suggested to the boys
"Oh, um, what are you guys doing later? Not, like, asking you to hang out, but if you want to, we can," Jordan rambled on
"It's kind of a girl thing, sorry," Kate stated to her brothers before they walked out
Kate had gotten permission from their parents with the rules that she won't drink and she won't go anywhere alone without one of the girls. She understood those rules since they were there to keep her safe and teach her responsibility.
"Nat, this party's insane!" Kate cheered in excitement
"Yeah, I'm not sure about the vibe, though," Nat mumbled as they walked in
"Come on, let's find Travis," Sarah stated pulling them along and then found him flirting
"That's uncomfy," Kate mumbled watching them
"I mean, it doesn't sound great but maybe it was just something out of context?" Sarah questioned in response
"Oh, the context of that one's pretty clear," Kate stated pointing to them kissing
"Uh, well, maybe there are other cute guys," Sarah suggested with a shrug
"Maybe it's for the best, I mean he did look like a terrible kisser and I just feel kind of stupid, we should go home," Nat admitted looking at them
"No, as your wing women, that's like not an option," Kate remarked before they looked around
"Oh, my God, don't look now but that guy's totally staring at you and he's kinda cute, right?" Sarah questioned the girls
"I mean, yeah, I guess, knowing absolutely nothing about him," Nat spoke with a hum
"Uh, Matteo, this is Natalie," Sarah introduced the pair
"Nat, this is Matteo, and feel free to say hi to each other," Kate stated to the two
"Wing women out," Sarah cheered before she and Kate walked off
"Seems like they are hitting it off," Kate joked with the girl
"I'm going to go get something to drink," Sarah spoke to the blonde
Kate nodded before going to sit down, some time had passed and Kate had looked over to see Sarah and Jordan playing liquor ball causing her to sigh and shake her head. She was never one to party but she wanted to suck it up for her friends to have a good time.
"You seem like you are having fun," Marcus joked as he came up to her
"I'm having so much fun," Kate joked with a chuckle
"I see my sister and Nat had ditched you," Marcus spoke as he sat down next to her
"Sarah and I set Nat up then Sarah was going for a drink then ended up hanging out with my brother," Kate explained to her boyfriend
"Ah, so you did get ditched," Marcus remarked with a slight nudge
"Watch it," Kate scolded with a look
"And she's back," Marcus mocked his girlfriend
"Can we just leave?" Kate questioned standing up
"Yeah sure, you wanna go get milkshakes?" Marcus asked making her smile
"I love you," Kate spoke before kissing him
"I love you, more," Marcus mumbled once they pulled away
Kate dragged him along with her to his jeep, she waited for him to unlock it before getting in. They had driven back to Smallville so they could get milkshakes and be at home on time for curfew. When Kate had gotten home she saw her parents and her brothers sitting at the table waiting for her to take off her shoes and jacket.
"What's going on?" Kate asked in a hushed voice
"Kids, you need to sit down," Lois directed looking at the three
"Guys, your mom has something she wants to tell you, but before she does, I just want you both to know that we are going to get through this as a family," Clark stated to their kids
"I was just diagnosed with stage-three inflammatory breast cancer," Lois stated causing Kate's eyes to water
