"𝗪𝗲'𝗿𝗲 𝗯𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘂𝗽?"

Kate was at her locker getting everything situated when Marcus came walking up to her with a sad look on his face, she mirrored his face and put on her sad face in hopes of cheering him up. Kate soon realized that sad face wasn't to work so she cleared her throat and fixed her face.

"Hey, what's wrong?" Kate asked looking at him

"Got into a fight with my mom," Marcus spoke causing her to sigh

"How are you feeling?" Kate questioned with concern

"I'm gonna feel horrible after I tell you what she wants me to do," Marcus admitted making her confused

"What do you mean?" Kate questioned her boyfriend

"Your parents and my mom got into a fight and she wants to distance herself from your family which means we have to cut all ties with yours," Marcus explained making her heart to drop

"She wants you to break up with me?" Kate asked as her voice creaked

"I don't get a say in the decision," Marcus spoke as she nodded

"We're breaking up?" Kate asked with tears welding up

"I'm sorry," Marcus whispered coming closer

"It's okay but I need time to process this," Kate stated before walking off

Kate wiped her eyes before walking down the hall leaving Marucs to watch her leave with tears welding up in his eyes just as much, she had decided to push the feelings down enough to spend time with her brothers and father.

"So we're supposed to just ignore the whole Cushing family?" Jordan questioned their father

"Yeah, Dad, you do realize that we go to school with Sarah, right?" Jon questioned aswell

"She made Marcus break up with me," Kate added in support

"I know, I know, but Lana isn't ready for Sarah or Marcus to know the truth about our family," Clark stated making them scoff

"So shouldn't that at least be up to them?" Jordan asked loudly

"Yeah, I think she's seriously overreacting," Jon agreed with his twin

"Guys, Lana now has to lie every day to protect our secret so is it really that wrong that she doesn't want Sarah and Marcus to have to do the same thing?" Clark asked making a point

"Do you think she'll ever change her mind?" Jordan asked in a soft manner

"I don't know but for right now, we just need to respect her wishes and keep our distance but on the bright side, I planned a full day of chores for us so we could spend some time together," Clark spoke with a smile

"How is that the bright side?" Kate questioned the man

"Oh, come on, I used to love helping my dad around the farm, meet me in the barn in ten minutes," Clark stated to his kids before they started walking to the barn

"You and Marcus broke up?" Jon questioned his sister

"Today at school and he said he didn't want to but he didn't have a choice," Kate explained to them

"Lana never should've made him break up with you but you have to understand why she did it," Clark spoke making Kate nod

"Still hurts though," Kate mumbled to the man

Kate had helped them work on the tractor before heading back inside since she no longer felt needed to help. She just wanted to be alone for a while as she processed her breakup, she did understand why Lana made Marcus break up with her but she still felt the sadness that came with it. Clark had gone to help Lucy, Sam, and Lois only to be trapped by Ally putting him into a coma.

"How is he?" Jordan asked as he stood up

"Still unconscious but he will survive," John Henry spoke to the group

"Mom?" Kate questioned in a soft tone

"The thing is, the doctors relayed that his cells look normal," Lois spoke before they all grew confused

"Isn't that a good thing?" Jon questioned their mother

"It would be if he were human," Lois stated in a solemn tone

"So what are you saying?" Kate asked crossing her arms

"There's a chance he might never be the same again," Lois stated making Kate's heart drop

"But Ally's still out there and we need Superman," Nat spoke before John Henry nodded

"Then until he comes back, we are all gonna have to step up," John Henry stated to the group
