Tonight was the crows first game with the boys playing and Kate cheering, she liked cheering it made her feel part of the team. She was taking a water break when she looked up to see a certain boy walking over to her making her roll her eyes causing him to chuckle

"You look good in your cheer outfit," Marcus charmed as he walked up to her

"Keep daydreaming," Kate stated in response

"Am I annoying you, sweetheart?" Marcus asked making her scoff

"Yeah but it doesn't matter what I say because you won't leave me alone," Kate remarked to him

"Admit it, You like fighting with me," Marcus stated in a soft tone

"Admit it, you like me," Kate countered making him scoff

"I don't do feelings," Marcus scolded the blonde

"Careful, you don't want to start scolding me," Kate mocked making him smile

"Taking some notes, I see," Marcus spoke with a smirk

"Well, I learned from the best so," Kate added looking at him

"Duly Noted, Kent," Marcus commented before she nodded

"Now, leave me alone so I can work on my charms with the players," Kate joked causing him to scoff

"Screw that," Marcus stated before kissing her

The kiss had taken her by surprise, leaving her a frozen mess even after he had walked away. She was confused since he just said that he didn't do feelings but he kissed her to avoid her from talking to other guys. Jon had given her a knowing look causing her to scowl before going back to cheer. The next she had hoped that everything would be back to normal but he avoided her all day at school.

"Guys, I gotta head back to the DOD for an emergency, I wanna say, I'm sorry for the changes you're having to endure. Jordan, I know that you're showing signs of being special," Thier grandpa spoke as they were outside

"Not that big a deal, really," Jordan deadpanned to the older man

"Yeah. Yeah, come on, Grandpa, he's just the same old barely-above-average kid," Jon mocked smacking Jordan playfully

"All right, well, what I do know is your dad is very special, I didn't want you to know that, yet here we are and given that your dad is the most important force for good in the entire world, that means you have an obligation too, don't waste his time and try to think about the fact that when your dad gets distracted, lives are at stake, understood?" Thier grandpa questioned the three

"Yes," Jordan responded in a soft tone

"Sure," Jon mumbled in response

"Then act accordingly and for the record, helluva hit last night," Thier grandpa stated before heading off

"What do you think? You wanna go to Wellnitz's party, or what?" Jon questioned the two

"Are you worried about Tag?" Kate asked her brother

"Let me text Sarah for a ride," Jordan spoke pulling out his phone

"All right," Jon agreed messing with the football

They had all gone to the party, Jon and Jordan had gone to hang out with their football buddies while Kate had gone to look for Marcus and question him about why he was avoiding her. She was still confused about the kiss that they had shared the night before.

"There you are, you haven't talked to me all day," Kate stated once she saw him

"Don't tell me that you missed me," Marcus slurred his speech

"Are you drunk already? The party just started," Kate scolded the boy

"There you go with the scolding again," Marcus remarked with an eye roll

"Why are you avoiding me?" Kate asked in a soft tone

"I'm trying to figure out what the kiss meant to me because it clearly meant something to you," Marcus stated to the blonde

"Then, we'll act like it never happened if you want to but I don't want to stop hanging out with you," Kate admitted looking at him

"I don't wanna act like it didn't happen because I'm glad that it did happen," Marcus admitted in return

"Then why are you avoiding me?" Kate asked in a hurt tone

"Because I don't know how I feel anymore," Marcus stated before walking off and she went to go find her brothers

Kate had found her brothers where they were in the woods with Tag freaking out and Jordan on the ground grunting in pain. They had gone home and Kate had gone to bed as Clark had a talk with the boys. She knew one thing and that was that she and Marcus would never be the same after the kiss.
