•Part 22 | Gift Shop•

You stared up at Stanely for a moment before speaking to him quietly. "You heard all that?" You asked quietly. He nodded before grabbing your arm and walking away from the kitchen, to the living room. "I never knew he felt that bad about it- honestly I didn't care about him saying 'thank you' after we got on a boat together." He said as he looked at the floor. "Need a tissue?" You asked, and he immediately wiped his eyes. "I'm not crying, you are-!" He said quietly. It made you smile.

"I can't go out tomorrow though- I need to run the gift shop." He said as he adjusted his glasses on his face. "From what Ford told me, Soos ran it pretty well while you two were on a boat together. Why can't you let him take over tomorrow to go have fun with your brother?" You suggested. Stanley smiled at that suggestion. "That might do me some good. Thanks for uh- being a therapist for me and my brother." He said with a slight chuckle.

"No problem Stanley. But it is late, I'm gonna head to bed." You said tiredly. He nodded. "Yeah, I'm gonna head to bed as well. Goodnight, Y/N." He said before walking past you to his bedroom. You felt proud of yourself, as you just helped amend a sibling's relationship. But now, you were exhausted and needed some sleep.

You walked to your own room and stretched before laying down in bed and falling asleep. When you woke up in the morning, you had kicked the blanket off yourself and onto the floor in the middle of the night. You chuckled to yourself and got out of bed, stretching again before picking up the blanket off the floor and making your bed.

You brushed your hair and put on a reasonable outfit consisting of blue jeans with real pockets, and a black T-shirt with no design and short sleeves. You put on a good pair of boots and walked out of your room. Ford and Stanley were talking in the living room. You walked in and they both looked at you. "Good morning, dear," Ford said as he greeted you.

"Good morning to you both." You said with a happy smile. "Me and Stanley are going out today-" Ford started, you looked at Stanley and he did a double thumbs up at you. Your vision drifted back to Ford. "-and the kids are going to be helping Soos run the gift shop. That means that you are going to be on your own today," Ford said as his hand goes onto your shoulder. "Can I trust that you won't get yourself in danger again?" Ford asked, slightly poking your gut which had the mostly healed gash on it.

"Of course, go have fun with your brother. Don't worry about anything." You said with a soft smile. "I won't. I'll see you later, dear." Ford said before kissing your forehead. "Alright you two, stop being all mushy each each other!" Stanely said, which made everybody chuckle a bit. "You two have fun then." You said with a warm smile as the two started leaving the shack.

"Bye Y/N!" They both said before leaving the shack. You sighed, as now you were alone, and didn't know what to do. Your thoughts were interrupted by Mabel coming into the room. "Hi Y/N! I heard you were on your own today, so I was wondering if you wanna help me and Dipper in the gift shop!" She asked excitedly. "Oh, sure. I'd love to. Should I get in a suit like your grunkle does?" You asked with a chuckle.

"No," She said with a laugh before continuing. "That outfit looks formal enough. You can do the tours!" She said with a big smile. "But I don't know how to-" you started but she cut you off. "It's mostly improv anyway!" She said before grabbing your arm and pulling you with her to the gift shop. When you get there, Wendy is behind the counter with Dipper talking to her, and Soos is dressed up like Stanely, fez, and eyepatch. You chuckled at that.

Mabel spoke up, taking charge. "Alright! Gift shop opens in 10 minutes and Y/N agreed to help yes! Dipper you are off tour duty!" She said, and Dipper seemed happy at that and gave a thumbs up. "Wendy with stay at the cash register as usual while me and Dipper run around stock shelves, cleaning messes and helping customers. Soos and Y/N will be doing the tours in the museum. So we can have 2 tours at once today. Sound good?" She asked, and everybody nodded and gave a collective 'yeah', expect for Soos who said 'cool dude' with a thumbs up.
