In which Izuku comes out to his family and close friends (Bakugo) and then gets harassed by Bakugo and takes it rly badly so big buff hot stage manager Iida swoops in to save the day

It started with a call to his boyfriend on his week between performances. He was now off tour, feeling a lot better physically, but mentally there was so much weighing on him. He and Iida had been hanging out a lot.

Theyd been out on dates, and been going out for months now. They'd kissed and such and Izuku had never loved someone other than his family so much. They fit together. They were two halves of a whole. Neither could imagine life without the other anymore.

Now, they were across the country from eachother as Izuku stayed at home for a little while, preparing himself with some homemade meals before traveling again for so long. This round, Iida would be with him. Izuku called him from his home, smiling big when he saw Iida's face pop up over the FaceTime call.

"Hiiii." He giggled.

"Hi, Izuku. What's up?" Iida asked. He was in the middle of cooking dinner.

"Soo I was thinking it's probably about time I come out to my family because I really want to talk to them about you." Izuku said, watching as Iida smiled automatically in reaction.

Izuku giggled in response, "I see you like that idea."

"Your mom sounds like an angel. I would love to meet her now that you've met my parents." Tenya said, glancing at the camera with a grin before turning back to chopping peppers.

"She really is, I think she's going to take it really well. My other family on the other hand..." Izuku started, trailing off to a tone that wasn't so optimistic.

"Other family? I thought it was just you and your mom?" Tenya questioned genuinely.

"Okay okay, so I've told you about the bakugos right? We grew up with them, they helped us out when times were tough and money was tight right after my dad left. So they're basically honorary family." Izuku explained, "they're over this weekend for dinner and I was thinking about telling everyone at once. Just getting it over with."

Tenya wasn't really smiling anymore, "like Katsuki Bakugo? The one who told you to kill yourself when you were younger?"

Izuku just nodded, avoiding eye contact, "it's like sibling rivalry. He didn't mean it, I'm just sensitive and took it really seriously for a while."

Tenya had further thoughts on that, but waited to voice them, knowing it was a sensitive time and wanting to be physically next to his boyfriend when they talked about the consequences and signs of emotional abuse. (He wasnt even aware of the physical abuse that had accompanied it. Izuku just never talked about it, assumed it as normal. Iida knew nothing. He would soon, though)

"Problem is.." Izuku continued, "I have no idea what his family's stance on this is. They're very up front about their opinions, but overall a nice bunch so like... I don't know."

Iida sighed, "I mean, don't do anything you aren't comfortable doing. I'll be here for you no matter what."

"Thanks, babe." Izuku said, knowing the nickname always made Iida laugh a little bit, "I think I'm gonna do it. They deserve to know the true me, and I deserve to be authentic in front of them, right?"

Iida nodded, "call me after and tell me how it goes, okay?"

Izuku nodded, blew a kiss to his boyfriend, and then hung up.

Safe to say, it did not go well.

Izuku sat down at the dinner table, they all prayed together and thanked God for the meal, then also thanked Inko and Mitsuki for cooking it. Then everyone sat down at the table, Katsuki, his mother and father, and Izuku's mother, Inko.
