Matthews POV
Well my summer was going to be longer than I expected. I just wanted classes to start so that my time here alone could go faster. I want Payton to finally attend this school. I'm done with the girls here. I was supposed to go hang out with Danae and Chaz, but I wasn't sure if I wanted to because Carmen might have been there. Chaz walked into our room in hand with Danae and sat on his bed and looked at me. "So you gonna come out with us ?" He asked. "Uhh.." I said uncertainly. "Matt don't worry Carmen won't be there, we stopped being friends after what happened with you and her." Danae said. Chaz nodded in agreement. I stood there in awe. Are you guys serious right now? "Really?? That's great! I can't believe you guys would do that for me. " I said. "Yea after that incident we slowly realized that she was a birch" Chaz said. I was grateful I had two real friends out here. "Now come on! Let's get your mind off Payton just get loose and have fun!" Danae said. " alright lemme just get ready." I said. I stood up out of my bed and went to my tiny closet where I grabbed some black skinny pants and a white v neck and a gray jacket over it. I threw on some white sneakers and went to the bathroom and gelled my hair back and put on deodorant and cologne. I came out of the bathroom and Danae looked at me and said "looking good Matt!!" I smiled and said back, "you look great as well Danae" politely. Chaz smiled at me. Danae wore a tiny black strapless dress with a triangle cut out right above her midsection like right under her boobs. Not my taste but she looked good. I imagined that dress on Payton and I didn't like it. Chaz wore basically the same outfit but a black jacket and a red shirt. We walked out of the dorm room and Lacey walked out of her dorm with us. "Where we headed gang?" She chirped happily. None of us were in the mood to deal with her crap anymore so we kept on walking . We walked all the way to the end of the hall and exited the building where she continued to follow and saw us enter our uber , a black Tahoe without saying a word to her. She stood at the door of the building looking sad and Chaz, Danae and I all laughed. We were driven to this club where I was excited to go in because I wanted to have fun and numb my mind of Payton. But I had no intentions of finding another girlfriend or anything. We entered the club because Danae knew the bouncer and immediately my body was moved by the ground thumping bass and loud music that was being blasted through the speakers. It was dark but the only light illuminated the room was the white light of the dance floor whee people were dancing, and the occasional strip of white light on the walls or in the corner and matching strobe lights pulsating in the room. There were Lounge sections of the club, most of which were taken. There was one section that was occupied but only had two people sitting there and that's where Danae lead us. We got there and I saw two other girls sitting there. As soon as they saw Danae they started squealing with excitement. "Danae!!!"!they shouted. "Lyssa!! Tatum!!" She shouted back. they all hugged each other while Chaz and I looked at each other and laughed. "Lyssa, Tatum this is my sexy boyfriend Chaz, and his newly single sexy friend Matt!" She said introducing me. I smiled and waved. They both smiled and waved back. "So Matt do you go to Stanford as well??" Lyssa asked me. "Yea I do, how about you guys?" I asked back. " well we both go to USC and we love it!!" Tatum answered. Tatum was a shorter, pretty blonde with big boobs but not a whole lot of ass while Lyssa was a black haired pretty girl and had striking blue eyes and a Monroe piercing. It was super cute! She had smaller boobs but a nice butt. Nobody's body would ever amount to Payton's though. Tatum wore a black and pink mini dress and Lyssa wore a shiny gold minidress. Their style was definitely not my taste. We all sat down in the lounge section and ordered drinks. I ordered a mojito, because I didn't want to get wasted, Payton hates that. Once the drink came I started sipping it in order to avoid having to talk much. Lyssa looked at me and said, "hey do you wanna go dance?" "Sure let me just get Chaz to watch my drink" I said back. I told Chaz to keep and eye on my drink while he gripped onto Danae's leg and held her while they were in conversation with Tatum. Lyssa was pale in compassion to any girl I have ever Hung out with, so it was interesting. (No offense or anything, she's just fair (: )She took my hand and led me to the dance floor where I was immediately reminded of what Lacey did. "Don't worry it's gonna be fun" Lyssa assured me as I tensed up. We got to the flashing white floor where people were dancing and having a good time. All of a sudden the music stopped and the DJ yelled into the mic, "THROWBACK!!" And started blasting temperature, by Sean Paul. Everyone started cheering and dancing. I smiled because this Song used to be my jam. I started nodding my head and Lyssa took my hands and moved us around. It was innocent dancing and I appreciated how much she really Kept our dancing pg. We weren't dancing to get laid, we were dancing because it was fun! I let her in a little more and I wrapped my arms around her waist and pulled her close to me. She laughed as she danced and I laughed as well. She started grinding on me a little bit and I started grinding back. We only grinded for like 10 minutes because after we were both exhausted and went back to the lounge where we were at, and got there to find Danae and Chaz making out and Tatum and her boyfriend making out. Lyssa and I both looked at each other and kinda made our way to the bar. We sat at the counter where we were served drinks. Lyssa and a rum and coke while I had some jack. " no offense, like your attractive and everything but let's not end up making out like our friends over in the lounge" Lyssa said. My eyes lit up and I said back "of course! I agree with you 100%! I mean yea you're pretty but I just don't want to make out!" I said. "I'm so glad you get that" I said. Lyssa smiled at me " of course I get it! I just broke up with my boyfriend of two years and I just wanted to have some good clean fun!" She said. "Same!!! " I said as I took a sip of my jack. "I just was dumped by my girlfriend of like 7 months, but the thing is, I know she is the one. I even gave her a promise ring. I know I want to marry her. "I said. Lyssa with a concerned expression asked "what happened? " so we dated in high school, and she was a year younger than me, so I graduated and then had to move out here for lacrosse and football over the summer at Stanford. But then while I was her, I missed her a whole bunch. She came out for my first game because she lives in Arizona so it's not too far, and my parents have access to a jet so ya. This girl Carmen, that Danae used to be friends with was like obsessed with me or something, but she walked up to me and kissed me and i dont even know maybe I missed Payton or something but I kissed her back and this girl Lacey my Neighboor got video of it. .So Payton, my girlfriend came out and came to my game. After the game we went to a dinner. Lacey followed me and my girlfriend to the restaurant and while Payton was going to the bathroom I was planning on how to tell her, but Lacey followed her to the bathroom and showed her the video. She dumped me right then and there. I have been aimless for like a week now." I said. That whole story made me super upset so I Lost my pep in my step and Lyssa noticed. She patted my back and looked at me and said "aw don't be sad Matt!! Just think of it this way, when she gets here, just think of it like a brand new start! Right now is your chance to get all of your cheating urges out right now and when she gets here bam you get her back" Lyssa said enthusiastically. I smiled. "Thanks dude you're so smart!" I said. I pulled her in for a warm hug and she smiled. But her smile slowly faltered and I looked over my shoulder to see what she was looking at to see a tall muscular black haired guy with an eyebrow piercing dancing, by himself. "Lyssa is that him?" I asked her. She nodded. "Dude he's dancing by himself go get that!!" I said. She smiled and indeed went over to where he was and inserted herself near him. She got closer and closer and soon they connected. They were huddled close together and were talking, and soon I saw the guy give Lyssa a big smile and she smiled back. He leaned down and kissed her lips and she was so happy I could tell. I smiled and raised my drink to her. They danced happily while I thought of a way to get Payton back.
Payton's POV
Summer was almost over and I've been having a blast with Jacob and Nicole. We've been shopping and going to parties and doing summer activities till we drop. Today was hike day and I was excited because we were going to a really pretty reservoir in our state. But you had to hike up to the spot and then jump into the water. I was jazzed. I woke up at like 7:30 because Jacob was gonna come get me at 8:15am because it was a bit of a drive. I got in the shower and took a hot one because I wanted to feel awake. I put on some black lulu lemon shorts and a light green lulu lemon sports bra. I then put on a large gray overshirt, and some black on black roshe runs. I put it in a ponytail and then put on some deodorant and some body spray. I sprayed on some light spf sunscreen and grabbed by aviators. I then went to the kitchen where my family awaited me. They all were sitting themselves down at the table and my mom looked at me and smiled "you're just in time!" I smiled at her and made my way to the table. I sat down next to my brother Cameron and drew and held their hands as we said grace. We said our Amen , and then we began to talk. "Morning drew and mom and Cameron" I said quickly. "Morning pumpkin" my mom said lovingly. "sup sis" Cameron said. "Good day young lady" drew said. At the table there was bagels, and fruit, and bacon, and eggs. I grabbed a bagel and spread on some cream cheese and then handed it over to my brother. The fruit medley was apples grapes and strawberries so I spooned some onto my plate and then handed the bowl to drew. I then received the plate of bacon from my mom and got a slice. I dug it an we all talked like a family. "So pAy where are you off to today?" My mom asked. "Well Jacob Nicole and I are going to a creek and we are gonna hike!" I said excitedly. "Oh that sounds like fun! We should go on a family hike sometime!" She said. "Yea that would be super fun!" I agreed. We all spoke a little more and then I took my plate to the sink. Drew was the dish doer now that they were married and I appreciated that. I gave him my plate and I kissed his cheek. "thank ya!" I said happily. "You're welcome pay, go have fun!" He said. I went to the pantry and got the dog food for Sadie. I poured it In her bowls and grabbed by bottles of water and refilled her water bowl. "Saides!! Come eat puppy!" I said. My adorable little girl ran up and I picked her up and snuggled her up. She licked my face happily and I planted little kisses all over her. "Okay baby, dig in!! I'll see you later" I said. I waved back at her and I went to the mud room, grabbed my keys and walked to the front door. "Okay bye family see ya later!" I yelled. I walked out of the door and went over to my car. I got in and the radio started blasting the weekend "I can't feel my face" ( or that song idk what it's called) . I was pretty hype so I was jamming on my way to Jacobs house. It was a Normal gorgeous day in Arizona where the heat was steadily rising. The clear blue skies made it easy to stay happy. I wasn't even thinking about Matt. I got to Jacob house and rang on his doorbell. "good morning Love face!" Ms Tucker said. Oh gosh how I missed this woman. She smiled and pulled me in for a warm hug, and I hugged her back. "Jacobs upstairs getting ready, In the meantime, would you like some breakfast?" She offered. "Oh no thank you i ate before I came" I said. "Alright lemme know if you need anything" she said. "Wait! Do you have your water bottle or your backpack?" She asked. I blushed. "Noo..." I said shyly. Ms Tucker looked at me happily. " perfect then I can help you lovely!" She said. "Let me get you one of the boys nalgenes and one of their backpacks" she said. She shuffled around the kitchen and pulled out two nalgenes, one black and one green. She put ice in both and then filled them up with water from the refrigerator. She capped them and then went into the mud room where she pulled out a black nike backpack that said Tucker on it. She put in some granola bars and shoved my nalgene in the water bottle pocket. "Thank you momma I feel super silly that i forgot to do any of that" I said. Just then Jacob came down the stairs and was wearing black shorts and a white cut out shirt, of like legend basketball or something. His gorgeous Abs rippled and I saw then through the gaping holes at his side. He wore a black backwards facing baseball cap and some white tennies. "Good morning my best amigo" he said walking over and hugging me. "Good morrow kind sir" I said as I hugged him back. "Mmh you smell good " I said as I was still wrapped in his arms. "Thank ya lady!" He said. He gently unwrapped me and kissed my cheek and he turned away to pack some snacks in the backpack that he brought downstairs. I put the backpack ms Tucker gave me on my back and walked over to give him his nalgene. Jacob I guess noticed and said "so you're aTucker now?" He said laughing. "Yes, yes I am" I said. "But how do you suggest in entered the family? I'm your sister! " "nah you'd be my wife" Jacob said under his breath. I smiled and blushed. He grabbed my hand and grabbed his packed backpack. He kissed his moms Cheek and then we left out the front door and got into his tarp less jeep. He got in and I got in and he helped me out my bag in the back of his car. As I handed him the bag, our fingers brushed and I smiled lightly. He smiled back. We left a seat open in the back seat because we were going to go get Nicole. We played some music while we drove over to the French residence And I rang the doorbell. Jacob didn't really know the French parents all that well. "Denise came to the door and smiled widely at me. "Hey beautiful girl!" She said. I smiled back and said "hey hot mama" as I was pulled into her enveloping hug. She let me go and looked at me "you doin okay?" She asked. "Yea I'm doing good." I said confidently. "Matthew misses you honey, all the time, he calls and always explains how upset he is about this" she said. My heart sank a little. I hate knowing he's upset " I'm sorry! I just think that our time will come when I go to Stanford. We need this space." I said. "I agree with you girl. go have fun! " she said. "Nicole!! Payton's here to come get you!" She screamed. Nicole bounded down the steps with a backpack wearing adorable orange shorts and a a black light overshirt and orange and gray roshe runs. "You guys have fun okay?" Denise said. "Thank you! Love you!" Nicole and I both said and we walked out of the house and made our way down to Jacobs car where inside, he was fiddling with music choices. "Hey Nicole how are you" he said to her as she climbed in the back. "I'm good! Jazzed to hike this bad boy!" She said excitedly. "Yeah!! Let's hit the road!" I said. Jacob smiled and nodded, "let's do this!!" He said as he blasted some chris brown fun, and sped down the street. After a longish ride filled with dancing and telling funny stories, we arrived at the base of this campsite with vast land. We just had to decide where we wanted to hike. Jacob parked the car and we all got our backpacks and decided to head to the left most trail. Jacob said he knew of a secret little nook there. We started up the trail and we were all smiles, everybody laughing and having a good time. We made our way up to a turn that yielded us not to go down the opposite way. "Okay guys turn here" Jacob Said. Nicole and I both stopped in our tracks."but it clearly says no." I said. "Yea what if we get hurt!?" Nicole said worriedly. Jacob looked at me in the eyes and got closer. "Do you trust Me?" He asked. "Of course I do" I said back. He reached out his hand to me. "Take my hand" he said. I nodded and took his big soft hand in mine. He turned to Nicole "do you trust me?" He asked her. "I guess so!" She said. "Take my hand." He told her. She took his other hand. Together; he lead us underneath this brush of leaves and a tiny trail that lead us to a breathtaking cliffside view of a small crystal blue lake, with a tiny waterfall falling from the cliff we stood on, and the water came from a tiny little creek stream and fed that waterfall. There were great big trees surrounding the other side of the body of water secluding this gorgeous scenery from anybody's naked eye. Nicole and I both gasped." What do you think?" Jacob asked us. "This is gorgeous are you kidding me?" I said. "We are definitely jumping into that" she said. "Yea that's the spirit" Jacob said as he high fived her. "Uhh I'll just walk down" I said. Nicole was already taking off her shoes and socks and stripped off her over shirt into her Black nike sports bra. "Payton do you think I should take off my shorts because I don't want them to be wet? She asked. "Well you have spandex under then right?" I asked her. I always put spandex on under my shorts. "Yea! Okay then just jump in spandex and then before we leave take them off and put your shorts back on" I suggested. "Smart idea!" Nicole smirked as she tugged off her shorts. "Come on guys!" She begged. "Hold on lemme talk to her " Jacob said to Nicole. He turned to me and took his shirt off. Not that I couldn't already see his abs through the side of his shirt but I saw all of it it and mmmh he was fine. "Come on Payton jump, I'll hold your hand the entire time" he promised. "Are you sure?" I asked. "Positive" he assured me. "Okay" I said quietly. Jacobs eyes lit up. "Yes!" I took off my over shirt and was in my light green sports bra and took off my shorts and was in black nike pro spandex. I took off my shoes and socks and as did Jacob. My toes touched the cool rock of the cliff top and all three of us walked to the edge of the cliff and looked over to see the refreshing inviting cool blue water, just begging us to jump in. "I wanna go first!" Nicole suggested. "Okay!" Jacob said. Nicole took a few steps back and then took a running start and jumped off the cliff and after 4 seconds, splashed into the Cool blue water. Underwater for a second, she popped her head back up and said, "that was so much fun! Your turn!! " I smiled nervously at Jacob and he took my hand and squeezed it in his. "We'll be okay, alright?" He asked. I nodded my head. " Okay on the count of three, ready.. 1...2..3! We both started running hand in hand and jumped and started falling for what seemed like 5minutes and I screamed the entire Time. in the air Jacobs grip got tighter on my hand and soon we splashed into the cool refreshing water. Underwater I started kicking and I kicked something leafy or and I freaked out not letting go of Jacobs hand. I pulled myself closer to him and latched on to his torso. We both up out of the water, and there i was latching like a lost child to their mom on Jacob. He wrapped his arms around my body and smiled at me. " see that wasn't so bad" he said. I smiled back at him "yea it actually wasn't. I was just sorta freaked out by something that touched my foot underwater." I said. "Alright guys!!!" Nicole shouted. She swam over to Jacob and which I was still I Jacobs arms. He wrapped his arms around my waist and kissed my cheek. " Let's keep jumping" she said. All three of us nodded and kept climbing back up to the cliff to jump off. We rated each other's dives and had flip competitions. I had such a blast with my two best friends. We soon got tired and decided to climb back up to the top and change. Before we changed I took a picture of us with my phone and we were all wet and smiling. Jacob had his hand around my waist and Nicole's waist and we all cheesed. I was gonna post this later. Nicole and I both took off our spandex and left us in our thongs and put our shorts back on, and then our over shirts. Jacob put his shows and shirt back on and Nicole and put on our shoes and soon we hiked down back to Jacobs jeep and we all got in and drive back to our city, and town and dropped off Nicole at her house. "Thanks guys for such a fun day" she said as she climbed out of the car. She entered her house and then Jacob drove away. Jacob soon pulled up to my house. "Alright little missy" he said. "Thank you Cubs for the ride there and back, and your constant encouragement and helping me conquer that cliff!" I said. "Of course! Anything for you dear" he said smiling at me. I smiled at him back and looked into his eyes. He looked back into mine and then looked down at my lips. He leaned in closer, and closer, and I shut my eyes and leaned in closer and closer.. And finally our lips met. Voluntarily. His spot lips gently kissed mine as I kissed his back with more force. He tasted like ice cream and I don't even know how because we didn't eat any today. I kissed him back as he put his hand on my face and stroked my cheek with his thumb. Oh crud Matt used to do that. I I pulled away and then pecked his lips again and again. "That was interesting" I breathed against his lips. "I liked it" Jacob said. "I did too" I said smiling against his lips. I he pecked my lips once more and then I got out of the car. "Bye Jacob thanks for everything" I said. "Goodbye pay!" He said. He drove away and I walked into my house happy and confused.
Jacobs POV
YES I FINALLY GOT TO KISS PAYTON AND SHE LET ME AND SHE KISSED ME BACK! I'm not going to ruin this now. this girl means the world to me. I think I already love her. I just need her to love me back.
