Shehnaaz's P.O.V.

Sidharth came inside with the tray of food while his eyes wasn't taking a chance to leave me. Sitting on the bed, I asked, "Why are you looking at me like that?" He held my hand and gradually raised it to his lips. He planted a sweet kiss on my knuckles. "If it was any way possible, I would have taken out my eyes and give them to you so that you see how beautiful you look," he said, coming closer to me. He gently held my neck and kissed my forehead as I bent my head, blushing. "I swear to God. The moment I saw you, you literally took my breath away," he said, "And now, I can't wait any longer to you see you as my bride." "Wait a little longer until this evening. Even I am impatient to see you become my husband," I said, softly, "The wait is getting more and more difficult to come to end. I am waiting for that final announcement after our wedding, 'Mr. And Mrs. Sidharth Shukla.' It would be magical." "I promise you, it would," he said. Listening to the urge inside me, I quickly hugged him and closed my eyes so that nothing else distracts my mind or takes away my attention. A while after, we broke the hug and he said, "Come, eat something now. It's time for your medicines." I smiled as he fed me with his own hands. My eyes literally stuck on him as I couldn't control myself to look away. He was looking too dashing. I ate as much as I could and he fed me the medicines as well. Resting the plate aside, he stood up and held out his hand for me. Gladly, I took it and got up. "Mrs. Soon-to-be Sidharth Shukla," he said, "Our beauty treatment awaits us." He rested my hand around his arm as I chuckled. Together, we made our way downstairs and everyone's attention were on us. We sat opposite each other but Daksh suddenly pulled a sheet in the middle of us, disabling our view of each other. "What is this for?" Sidharth asked, sternly.

"Sir, this is necessary," he said, "After you two apply haldi, you are not allowed to see each other until the wedding. It's unlucky." "What rubbish!" He said, annoyed, "Remove this from between us!" Dropping his shoulders, he turned to me with no other choice and said, "Now, you explain to him." "Shehnaaz, what is all of this now? Why can't I see you?" Sidharth asked from the other side. I was amused. "It's tradition. We cannot see each other until the wedding now," I said. "But..." he started but I cut him off saying, "No buts. Do it for me?" He was quiet and then said, "Okay, fine." Daksh smiled at us. "What are you laughing at?" Sidharth asked, irritated. His smile diminished a little bit as he shrugged his shoulders, saying, "Nothing at all, sir." "Sidharth," a man said, "Come on. It's tradition. I don't think you want anything bad happening in your wedding, right?" I frowned at bit as a little fear struck me inside while Sidharth was silent. Closing my eyes, I prayed, silently, "God, please, just keep me strong until the wedding is finished. I am only asking for this one thing. Please, let this marriage happen without any interruptions." "Come, let's start," Meeta said, "First, we will apply turmeric on Sidharth. After that, we will use the same paste on Di." Everyone made their way one by one to Sidharth's side of the stage and applied turmeric on him. After he was finished, the bowl was brought over to my side. Meeta came first and kneeled before me with an emotional smile and tears in her eyes. She took some of the paste on a leaf and touched the top of my head, both shoulders, arms, knees and feet. She did so four times, leaving me confused. "Dad, Mom, Sonu couldn't be here so I performed their part as well," she said. I smiled, touched at her gesture. She took some on her hands and applied it on my cheeks.

Kissing my forehead, she got up and Ajay came next. He took some on his fingers and touched my cheeks with a smile. Next, Daksh came. Taking a tiny bit with his index finger, he touch both my cheeks and when I least expected, he rubbed it on the tip of my nose. He giggled at me as I pouted. Narrowing my eyes, I said, "I'll make your life easy and forgive you this one time for this since it's my wedding." Clasping his palms to his chest, he said, "I am most blessed to receive your mercy, O Goddess. Thank you." We both burst out laughing. Resting his hand on my head, he said, "I'll take Sidharth to his room and then I'll come back and escort you." I nodded looked at him leaving. As Sidharth got up and was heading for the stairs, the sheet was turned along with him so that we don't see each other, even by mistake. A short while after, Daksh came back and escorted me upstairs. "I have a special surprise for you from Sidharth. I am in charge of showing it to you," he said. Smiling confused, I asked, "What surprise?" "Come," he said, taking my hand. He led me into the bathroom and it was totally transformed from what I left it earlier. There were fragrant candles and rose petals scattered all around. "This is your special bridal bath to remove your haldi. Your surprise from your soon-to-be husband, with lots of love," he said. I smiled as I looked at the jacuzzi decorated with candles and rose petals. "I will leave you now. Enjoy," he said and left. Meeta came inside and looked at me with a smirk. "Wow! Not bad! If this is the kind of treatment you are getting before your marriage, I can't even imagine the treatment you will receive after he becomes your husband, officially," she said, side hugging me, "Are you sure you don't want him to come and bathe you as well?" I bent my head shyly. "Ohh ho! Blushing?" She said, poking me, playfully.
