XVII - Camila's POV

Hay!!! This is definitely the most relaxing I've been for how many long months now... the perfect summer breeze while laying on my back on one of the beach chair lounges... I can't help but to close my eyes that's been protected by my sunglasses... Hailzz was right, I'm in so much need of  a break...

I don't know how long I'm sunbathing because the next thing I know I can hear hushed conversations near me.. I must have been asleep for awhile... I can't make up what's the conversation is about.. but, I know they're arguing on something... I just kept my eyes closed dozing off again until I heard the forbidden name... "Come on, Lauren.. you can't leave, I need you to be present at my wedding tomorrow... It's just for the weekend. Come on man.." I heard a voice say... it must have been Griff... I waited for the response but I only met with silence... so, I opened my eyes but to be met with no one.. it's just Hailzz and I...I must have been dreaming... Did I heard them right? Lauren? He said Lauren right?.. but there's a lot of Lauren in the world.. it must have been just a coincidence... right! A coincidence... so I shook my head and sat up.. I nudged Hailzz.. "hailzz.. come on.. let's go swim" I grab her hand and drag her towards the beach.. I can here her cursing me.. I just laughed at her...

We're just goofing around the beach for like 20 mins now... "Hailzz! Watch out!" I yelled before throwing myself at her back... but she quickly faces me.. so before I know it she caught me cradling at her waist before we submerged under the water.. we just laughed and laughed until I couldn't breathe anymore.. "oh my god! Hailzzz. That's so funny" We both laughed again and she splashes me with the water.. "oh you didn't.. game on!" I said challenging her before splashing her more water and I jump at her again... this time I make it at her back... she tried to shake me off of her but that only caused me to cling more tighter than before...

"Hailzz... I'm exhausted, I want some cold water" I pouted "can you carry me back to the lounges?" I continued with a baby voice... she rolled her eyes but proceeded to carry me despite her protests... I hop on her back and rest my chin on her head... "Thank you for this hailzz.. I needed this.."... "So, you admit that your enjoying yourself with me?" She mocked me.. "shut up! You're still a pain in the ass..." I said giggling..

I admit that having Hailee by my side is the best distraction I can have... she has this vibe that can make me relax.. I can be who I am around her with no judgement... that's just who she is, I don't know what's her deal with other people though.. she's just so closed off.. most definitely with her own family.. I can't help but be thankful that she chose me to be this close to despite just having only months worth of friendship...

As we remained seated outside, the feeling when I bury my toes in the sand plus the wonderful sun that's already setting in front of us is so romantic.. Lauren would definitely love this scenery... "what's with the deep breath?".. Hailz ask me... "Nothing...It's just a thought you know.. this is so romantic and all... that's it.." I replied admiring the beautiful sunset... "yeah.. it's so perfect... that reminds me.. uhmmm.. " she cleared her throat.. I looked at her confused... "hmmm.. you know the wedding tomorrow...." She avoided making eye contact with me.. weird.. "hmmm" she cleared her throat again.. "Don't tell me.. there's no wedding happening tomorrow and you just want to kidnapped me!".. I said raising both of my eyebrows... "yes, I mean.. no..." she stuttered... "huh?".. "I mean.. ofcourse there's gonna be a wedding tomorrow.. It's just that.."she glanced at me and blushed?.. is that a blush?.. "hmmm. So, you're already my plus one to that.. and... why not make it official you know.. you.. as my date?".... " Date?.. what do you mean? Date as in.. date.. date? you.... You have feelings for me romantically?" I asked her shock visible on my face.. I did not see this coming.. Oh my God!.. "hmm. I know this came out of nowhere... But, like.. I'm serious you know... I tried to bury my feelings for the sake of our growing and still developing friendship and I know you're still hung up on that laur girl.. but like... why not try.. just for tomorrow.. be my date? And let's take it from there. If it didn't work out then.. let's face it.." she grabbed both of my hands "I promise there's no hard feelings or whatever after this... you're still my cami.." she looked directly into my eyes.. "what do you think?.. will you be my date.. date for tomorrow?".. she asks... oh my god.. am I ready to entertain someone? What about lauren?... she's probably out there somewhere enjoying her free life... gosh!.. a tear rolled down on my cheeks that quickly wiped out by a soft finger tips... "hey.. It's ok if you say no you know... I'll respect your decision.." she said comfortingly... there's no harm in trying.. I mean she's hailee.. my bestfriend... I know she wouldn't hurt me... but we never know.. like the friendship that I cherish the most.. the only person that I trusted with my own life.... Is the same person that broke not only my trust but also with my heart... so you can't blame me if I had developed trust issues... Should I give Hailzz a chance?... but before I know it Past moments flashed before my eyes... I can't help but to cry... so I just hugged hailee and let it all out..."I just miss her so much"... "I know cami.." she replied... stroking my back..
