~Eighteen~

A Blue Best Friend.

Dion pulled the door open and a very scared and tensed petite woman was standing there looking at him like she had seen a ghost or had just been through a very traumatic experience.

Apart from the fact that she looked like blood had drained from her whole body,  her eyes looked like they ran far into her skull and her cheekbones were unusually prominent.

God, did he notice this before or was he just mistaken?

"Bluey?"

She stepped forward,  making him step backwards bringing both of them into the house.

"Is everything okay?  I heard people shouting in anger.  Are you alright? "

Dion heaved a sigh of relief.  She was looking like a ghost because she was worried about him.  Well, he can take care of himself.  He should be the one worrying about Zoomer and his minions attacking her.  He needed to talk to Paul.

"Everything is fine, " he replied,  turned around and walked into the living room where his father and Jess had somehow disappeared from.

"I saw your father and a lady arrive a while ago.  Is she our sister? "

Dion turned towards her his eyes blazing with fire as he glared at her.

"Sorry,  I just thought,  since he was with your brother the last time... "

"She is not my sister, " he gritted out in anger. "in fact, I have no relations with her. "

Sapphire nodded amused.

Why was this angry young man angry again?

"Anyway,  did you remember to tell them I am your best friend and they can reach me when they can't reach you? "

Dion turned to her amused at her audacity. First, she single-handedly made them friends just before they went to the gym and then now she has taken the laws into her own hands and moved herself to the best friend.

The girl and Audacity are Siamese twins. How dare she?  He was still trying to allow her into the friend Zone and she was already naming herself best friend.  Whose best friend?  Who sanctioned that thought?

"I think you're mistaken Bluey, I have only one friend and that is Josh. So how are you my best friend? "

Sapphire frowned and then tossed the throw pillow she was holding at him which he caught effortlessly.

"That's not what you said before we left for the gym. "

"Of course, I was of the impression that you were just being delusional and you'd find peace eventually when you realise you were deceiving yourself. "

"It is you who is delusional.  Look around who else is there in your life, " she joked.  "I am your constant. "

Hi?

Eddy's voice made the giggle that was about to escape from her mouth freeze.

"Ah,  this is my constant. My brother." he walked towards the younger man.  "Now remind me again,  who are you? "

"Your best friend, " she let out and then giggled making Eddy chuckle.

At this point, Dion knew he could never win against her audacity so he let her be delusional about her place in his life.

What Dion would never admit is the fact that it felt nice to have someone other than his brother, mother and Josh care about him.

"You okay, man? " Dion asked Eddy ignoring the neighbourhood pest who was waiting for an answer.
