~Mind Blueing.~

When his neighbour, asked him to go with the flow, he expected her to be tired of his indifference by the third day, however, one whole week later and she was still coming on strong with her 'operation make a friend out of him.'

She was fooling herself and Dion wished she would realise it on time. Josh had gone on a four-day trip with some friends and he only just returned the previous day so Dion had suffered his intrusive parrot neighbour alone.

He had woken up that morning with a determination to put an end to her shenanigans. He does not want a friend and that was final. She had no right to force friendship on him.

He scoffed.

As if she would still want to be friends if she knew the truth.

Almost two months and he was still unpacking and emptying boxes. He placed his tools in the compartment. He had made his garage to suit his handyman lifestyle. Of course, growing up with his father thought him to fix things on his own instead of paying someone to do a mediocre job.

When he was done arranging. He picked up the boxes and stepped out.

Hey, new neighbour,

Dion looked up from the box he was emptying.

Across the fence separating their building, she stood, beaming, holding on to the fence. Her smile would further blind an already blind man, but Dion wasnt up for bright smiles.

She showed up at his house bringing meals made by her sister, inviting herself to see a movie while he ignored her existence like politicians ignore their people once voted in power. She had walked him to the store once when he ran into her, talking all the way while he enjoyed his playlist on Spotify.  She invited herself to run with him during his morning run on the beach, behind their house. Dion was beyond fed up but he knew she would give up eventually.

He had hoped to get privacy in his new home but he only had that for just three weeks. By the fourth week, the pest had moved in and all his solitude was gone out the window. His neighbour was a pest.

A beautiful, kindhearted but way too friendly pest.
Wait! What? Who said that?

She was that neighbour you saw first thing in the morning and last before bed, the one who dropped by just to check on you, brought you meals, invited you to lunch, and talked to you even when you clearly showed a lack of interest. Dion quickly realised that nothing bothers her. She was carefree, happy, funloving and friendly and that was the kind of person Dion wanted to be far away from.

He was yet to see what would deter her from whatever she has set her mind to do because he had been rude, mean, and indifferent and now he was just ignoring her but she still hasn't gotten the memo that He, Esiri Dion Dhalak does not want a friend. He wanted to be left alone. He doesn't trust people and he wanted to keep his circle as small and closely knitted as possible.

He would give her a gold medal at the Olympics if there was a sport called  'irritate the life out of your neighbour.' She would win.

"Good morning neighbour. How was your night? Hope you slept well. I see Josh is back. I'll come to check up on him later. It was nice having you at the last neighbourhood get-together. Mrs Plumpter was so happy. Hope you'd be at the next one. Also, try to mingle with the people, don't stick to only Mrs Plumptre like some kindergarten pupil who is only comfortable with his teacher...."

Dion sighed. he wished he could tape her mouth shut. How does she do all that talking without stopping to catch a breath? Does she even breathe? Is she human? Her parents must have had it hard just listening to her talk all day as a child.
