Finally piled everyone back into the SUV to head home. I was planning on going out to dinner but seeing how exhausted everyone is I think I'll just cook when we get home.
I know Leo has an overnight shift and needs to get to sleep after he eats. He has to go into the hospital at 3 am and he won't get off until noon.
I decided to have Ari sit up front with me. She seemed more exhausted than normal and I'm sure it was just from this morning but still I wanted to keep an eye on her.
I pretty much remembered the way home so I wasn't worried about directions.
I looked over to Ari as we pulled onto the main road. Her legs were bouncing like she was anxious and she was playing with the necklace I had just given her.
I reached over and put my hand on her knee, looking over to her silently asking if she was okay. She gave me a soft nod and laid her head on the window closing her eyes.
I'll talk more with her when we get home. I'm sure she's just exhausted and needs some sleep.
The drive home seemed shorter than the drive there. As we pulled into the driveway, everyone looked up from their phones or woke up as if they have memorized the turns into the house.
Ari was still peacefully sleeping.
"Be quiet she is asleep" I whispered to everyone making their way out of the SUV.
"Luca take her up to the room and I'll let you know when dinner is done" I said quietly to Luca who carefully picked Ari up and went into the house.

God she looks so beautfiul. She looked so happy at the Zoo today. I know this morning was alot on her and Im glad she got to relax a little today and get out of the house.
I got her up to our room, laying her down on the bed and pulling the blanket over top of her. I went to go shower until I felt her soft, gentle hand in mine.
"Stay" She said sleepily. Her eyes still closed.
"okay love, just till your back asleep okay? Ive gotta shower before dinner." I said as I crawled under the blankets next to her.
