Ace POV:
"WHAT!" Hudson's booming voice reverberated through the room.
My brows furrowed as his word rang inside my ear.
"Another fucking son"
"Antonio, are you out of your mind?" Alex questioned, his tone filled with controlled anger.
"I realize the gravity of my actions and the impact they have had. That's why I need to come clean," he admitted, his voice tinged with regret.
"Why the sudden change of heart?" Liam, usually composed, couldn't hide the chill in his words as he probed further.
"There are personal reasons that have held me back, but the time for secrets is over." His admission of guilt lingered in the room as he continued, "I understand that this revelation may come as a shock to all of you."
As the tension mounted, Antonio finally disclosed his decision, "From this point forward, he will take on the responsibility of managing our deals and projects."
"You can't just drop this bombshell without proper consideration. This involves our business." I couldn't help but voice my concerns.
"Believe me, I have carefully considered this decision. Besides, he's not a stranger; you've all met him before." Antonio said in a attempt to reassure us.
The room fell into a puzzled silence as we silently exchanged confused glances.
"Edrick?" Hudson demanded finally broke the uncomfortable hush.
Antonio, with a hint of weariness in his demeanor, corrected him, "No, his twin brother, Elijah. Elijah Thomas."
Before the tension could escalate further, Antonio made his excuses, "I believe it would be best if we reconvene later this evening to discuss this matter further."
Locking eyes with Hudson, he concluded, "Elijah and I will visit you then."
As the reality of the situation began to sink in, Hudson sought clarification, "Is everyone aware of this sudden change?"
"Yes, I intended to personally inform each of you. And for any oversight on my part, I deeply apologize," he conceded.
He is getting old.
With a solemn nod, Hudson wordlessly granted Antonio leave as he exited the meeting room.
"Fucking hell. The Edrick and Elijah look so same" Hudson exclaimed in exasperation.
Liam, with a hint of sarcasm, retorted, "Of course, they are twins, you idiot."
Alex, clearly amused by the situation, couldn't help but murmur, "But they look so remarkably alike."
We met some clients who are twins in our business and mafia dealings but this one is heck as shit.
Curious, I turned to Hudson and asked, "Do you know Edrick?"
Hudson, clearly taken aback, replied, "Yeah, both of them look same as fuck."
"Alright, let's refocus on our work," I suggested as I rose to my feet.
"It's certainly shocking news" Felix chimed in, acknowledging the surprising revelation.
"Well, as long as our business continues to thrive, what's there to be concerned about?" I reassured them.
"Let's discuss this further later in the evening" I proposed.
"You know sometimes giving fuck about something is good" Liam said, annoyed.
