Noelle's POV

The warm breeze in the night air blew gently onto the beach, warming up my body as we walked along the sand.

"How much longer...." I whined, reaching my hand sneakily to try and tug at the blindfold around my eyes.

I feel Micheal's hand swat at my own, and I let out a squeal as I try to hold in my laugh.

"Mi tell yuh fi nuh touch dat" he calls out to me, grabbing my hands to hold them behind my back.

"Since yuh cyaa listen...." he whispers to me, his breath trailing along the nape of my neck and sending shivers down my spine.

It felt like we had been walking forever, but deep down I knew that was only my impatience talking.

Mi ah di worst person fi try and surprise...

Ah cause mi too nuff enuh, mi nuh like be out of the know.

The only thing he told me about tonight was to dress up, so unuh know seh mi did haffi outdo miself.

But imagine my surprise when he handed me a blindfold when we got into the car.

Anuh like seh mi nuh trust him enuh....but mi did kinda feel mi hear did ago buss.

Mi very easy fi frighten....

I was even more surprised when I felt sand underneath my feet once we exited the car.

My shock level then went through the roof when I had to abandon my heels near the entrance of the beach.

Imagine if ah wah proposal him ah do....

Mi nah seh wi relationship nuh serious enuh, cause ah two pickney we have on di way, and nutt'n nuh more serious than dat.

But we hadn't even been together for a year yet, so I actually wasn't expecting a proposal anytime soon.

"Noelle mi need yuh fi move yuh foot dem muma......" he calls out to me.

"Micheal mi have two left feet, mi wi drop dung out yah if mi move too quick"

My response causes him to laugh, as he tightens his grip on my steading me.

After about a few more minutes, I feel us come to a complete stop.

"Alright tek off yuh blindfold...." I hear his voice say to me.
