Killer's POV:

I don't understand why I continue to think about something like this after so long, I know Color only wanted the best for me but our friendship wouldn't have lasted long anyway.

*Sigh* 'I never thought he would trust the words of simple strangers more than those of his best friend' I thought, hugging my pillow with the intention of falling asleep once and for all.

*Knock* *knock*

'Ha? Who could it be at this hour?' I asked myself, confused as I heard a knock on the door.

Somewhat lazily I got up from my bed and headed to the door, becoming even more confused when I didn't see anyone after opening it 'Was it my imagination?' I thought.

"*Snif* M- *Sniff* M-mommy" looking further down I could see that who had knocked on my door was Crescent, when I noticed the bad state he was in I gently bent my knees and took him into my arms to carry him.

The little boy stopped crying little by little but still had a depressed face.

"What is the reason for this downcast look?" I asked caressing Crescent's cheekbones, carefully wiping away the tears that threatened to well up again.

Crescent did not answer me... however, the moment I felt the strength with which he clung to me I decided it was better not to investigate the matter further.

"Would you like to go inside?" I asked him still carrying him in front of my room. Unlike what I expected, Crescent shook his head, quietly whispering the word "Dad". That alone was enough to understand what he was referring to and without wasting any more time I headed to my Boss's room.

~Some time later~

I was a little nervous when I found myself in front of the door, hesitating several times whether to knock or not, wondering if it was right to disturb Nightmare so late at night.

When I heard the sound of the door being opened I took several steps back surprised.

Nightmare only looked at me in amazement, apparently he did not expect that it was me who was going to be behind the door, most likely he noticed my negative feelings, and confusing them with Crescent's he opened without hesitation.

"Y-you can come in..." He invited me with a nervous expression, without waiting long he stepped aside to give me enough space to enter.

"I-I'm not here with the intention of staying" I looked away also nervous, trying to deliver Crescent to Nightmare's arms and quickly return to my room.

"No!" I got scared to hear Crescent scream when I tried to get him away from me "Don't go!" He screamed a second time with a desperate expression and tears in his sockets.

The guilt I felt when I saw the fear and despair in Crescent's eyes caused some tears to threaten to come out and on an impulse I hugged him tightly, whispering words of comfort, promising that I wouldn't go anywhere.

Without any other option, I entered Nightmare's room and settled on one of the edges of his bed, hoping that this way Crescent would feel more confident about loosening his grip.

Once inside, Nightmare closed the door and sat next to me, leaving an awkward silence between the two of us.

"I already promised I wouldn't go anywhere, you can let me go now Crescent" I spoke understandingly, breaking that silence.

Crescent seemed not to be completely convinced but he still decided to let me go, his scolded puppy face was very adorable seeing it up close.

It was already very late but despite everything Crescent refused to sleep, his dark circles were noticeable and how he sometimes rubbed his sockets revealed how tired he was.
