    I think growing up
    Is a lot like learning how to braid 
    Your own hair.
    The older I get, 
    The more I have to learn
    To do on my own.
    As a child,
    My mother could braid for me.
    As a student,
    My roommate.
    As an adult?
    I suppose I'll have to learn
    How to do it on my own
