As the other students filed out of the lecture hall, Isolde, with her stern expression firmly in place, motioned for Elara to approach her. Elara couldn't help but feel a sense of trepidation as she walked toward the professor. She had expected the conversation to be one of encouragement and guidance, but Isolde's demeanor suggested otherwise.

Once they were alone, Isolde fixed her penetrating gaze on Elara. "Young lady," she began, her voice firm and unyielding, "I must clarify something. My agreement with you during class was merely to save you from embarrassment."

Elara's heart sank as the weight of Isolde's words settled upon her. She had believed that Isolde's support was genuine, but it appeared that the professor had other intentions.

Isolde continued, her tone stern and unwavering, "You are young and inexperienced. The matters concerning Malachorix are far beyond your current capabilities. It is not your place to interfere."

Elara, feeling a mixture of disappointment and frustration, summoned the courage to respond. "But Professor Isolde, we all have a responsibility to protect the realms. Zephyrithian's sacrifice serves as a reminder of that duty."

Isolde's expression remained unyielding. "Zephyrithian's actions were those of a sage with unparalleled knowledge and power. You, young lady, are not in his league. It is imperative that you understand your limitations."

Elara couldn't help but feel a sting of humiliation. Isolde's scolding had left her shaken, and she struggled to find the right words to convey her determination.

Isolde concluded the conversation with a final warning, "I suggest you focus on your studies and leave the matters of Malachorix to those who are better equipped to handle them. Your eagerness, while admirable, can be misguided."

With those words, Isolde turned and left, leaving Elara standing alone in the lecture hall. The weight of her professor's admonishment weighed heavily on her, but she couldn't shake the feeling that her fellow students and the realms themselves still needed her determination and conviction in the face of impending danger.
