'You can't ruin today with your fears'

Lost in my thoughts, trying to calm myself down, I suddenly felt a gentle touch intertwining with mine. My heart stopped a beat as I realized it was Nicholas holding my hand. With a calm and soothing tone, he explained, " I sensed you were feeling nauseous, would it be okay if I held your hand till you calm down a bit." My heart somersaulted and butterflies danced in my stomach once again.

At that moment, my worries melted away, replaced with a comforting sense of security

At that moment, my worries melted away, replaced with a comforting sense of security. It was precisely what I needed in my chaotic state.

" I-I don't mind," I stuttered a little, earning a huge smile on his face. " If it's okay with you, then let's go." He held my hand tightly, not letting go as we made our way towards the mall. My mind couldn't help but hope that it wasn't too crowded.

Oh it was crowded, alright

As we entered the mall, my grasp escaped involuntarily. The sheer number of people inside was overwhelming. Men, women, and families with children filled the space, bustling from shop to shop. It was a sight unlike anything I had ever seen before. I couldn't help but feel grateful that Aunt May had never taken me to such malls.

I would have fainted.

" Are you still good? We can go to another place, I won't mind. Trust me, I just thought it would be safer if we were seen in a large crowd in case someone tries something" He explained, his voice filled with sincerity.

I felt an overwhelming rush of emotions. His unwavering protectiveness and genuine care for my safety made my heart race again.

With a soft smile," I'm good," I reassured him, His eyes met mine and a soft smile spread across his face revealing his cute dimples. It was a smile that spoke volumes, filled with affection and reassurance.

As we continued our walk, The atmosphere seemed to shift. The dirt was charged with a mix of curiosity and admiration, as people couldn't help but steal glances at us, especially at Nicholas. And who could blame them? Nicholas looked breathtaking in his simple yet stylish black top and jeans exuding confidence and charm with every stride, it seemed like he had this magnetic presence that effortlessly drew attention from everyone around us.

Pecks of being a werewolf.

I had to admit, I felt a surge of jealousy mixed with a hint of possessiveness. Seeing those flirty stares from other women ignited a fire in me. I wanted to give them a piece of my mind and maybe even throw my sneakers at them.

Metaphorically speaking, of course.

" Is there any place you would like to go?" He asked, still holding my hand as he surveyed the place we stood. I felt the excitement of buying something special for Avery and Ana pass through me.

" Would it be okay if I bought something for Avery and Ana," I shared my idea which he didn't mind at all. He took me to a mini shop filled with the cutest items.

Not knowing what to buy, since I forgot to ask them. I decided on charm bracelets. Each bracelet was unique, reflecting their personalities. One had a delightful combination of pink and gold colors, with adorable animal charms, while the other had a cool mix of violet and black with skulls, a book, and little knife charms.

We left the shop and strolled through the bustling mall, I couldn't help but feel hungry after a few hours. Nicholas suggested we look for the nearest food center.

We entered a cute eatery nestled within the mall, only to be greeted by a surprising queue. Nicolas let out a sign and simply suggested we get ice cream to stall time until the queue reduced a bit.

I agreed and we went to a nearby ice cream shop and noticed the queue was shorter than the one at the eatery. I removed my hand from him, my anticipation growing as I positioned myself behind a little girl.

Lost in thoughts, I suddenly felt a presence behind me. Instinctively, I inched close to the girl, seeking comfort in her presence. But the person behind me moved even closer, causing a flutter of panic within me.

Just as panic threatened to consume me, a familiar voice whispered in my ears.

" Someone's a little excited," it was Nicholas, his warm breath sending shivers down my spine. My heart leaped in my chest, caught off guard by his playful action.

" Sorry," I muttered up the courage to apologize to him. My words came out in a gulp, and I tried my best to push aside any thoughts about how close we were. His calm breaths against my ears felt ticklish, but I managed to suppress my laughter.

Thankfully, the little girl in front of me had already taken her ice cream, so I swiftly made my way to the boy behind the counter, who appeared to be around my age.

"I'll have a strawberry with vanilla, please" I requested with a smile, he returned the smile and began scooping the ice cream. I noticed he was giving me a strange look, but I brushed it off, assuming it was because of my unruly curls that might have caught his attention. A sight all too familiar from my high school days, I had already gotten used to the stares so it didn't faze me at all.

As the boy was about to hand me the ice cream, his question pierced through the air, freezing me in place. " Do you have a boyfriend?" He asked, his words lingering in the air like a sudden gust of wind. I was taken aback, my mind racing to find the right response.

" Umm...what?" I stammered, my voice barely audible. I was surprised that someone would ask such a direct question. Xavier was the only guy who had ever shown that kind of interest in me.

" Just curious if the guy behind is your boyfriend," He clarified, glancing briefly behind me and I knew he was referring to Nicolas.

"Uh, no, he's not my boyfriend" I replied, feeling a bit unsure of how to respond. I took a moment to observe the boy a little longer and noticed he wasn't bad-looking. He had blond hair with a touch of green at the tips, his warm brown eyes held a spark of curiosity and his smile had a certain charm that was hard to resist. He was undeniably cute with his uniform.

But he wasn't Nicholas.

" Doesn't look like way to me," The boy chuckled nervously, leaving me even more confused. I turned to look at Nicholas, trying to decipher his expression. His fiery eyes locked onto the boy, emitting a sense of intense hostility that sent shivers down my bones.

If looks could kill, the boy would have been long gone.

Without warning, Nicholas strode forward, snatching the ice cream from the boy's trembling hand. A devilish smirk danced upon his lips as he uttered words that shattered the fragile peace.

" Babe here's your ice cream," He sneered, his voice dripping with a mix of possessiveness and mischief. He stretched out his hand, offering the ice cream to me.

What the peach just happened?
