Heartache

As you journey through the agony of heartbreak, you realize it's more than just a feeling; it changes you, it could be over the most simple and random problems we encounter in our life. It turns you into a different person, someone who has experienced intense and profound loss, and now carries the marks of that experience deep within them

I do not speak of myself here,

But of the ones who currently endure this time,

This time of intense grief and sorrow,

Over the loss of their dear friends, dear family.

A moment of truth, we all dread,

The moment we hear that someone we cherished,

Is no longer with us, and their absence,

In the physical world leaves us feeling hollow.

We're left with emptiness inside, a hollow heart

Yet a lingering ache still persists,

A paradox of their presence within us,

But their absence on the outside still exists.

But in reality, we are mistaken, 

Mistaken to attribute this pain to a person,

A person very dear to us, no longer with us 

Because we feel they left us hanging.

Left us hanging in this world where nothing else feels right,

Left us suspended in this ocean, ocean of grief so huge,

But remember, for we are not alone in this fight,

But gathering the strength to help each other rise.
