Sometimes we get so caught up with our lives that little actions that people make aren't appreciated enough. We need to spend some time aside to thank everyone that's been there for us, been a part of our lives and helped us grow, before it's too late. It's these little gestures that can make someone's day.

Thank you for staying by my side,
For being with me throughout the ride
Of the life that keeps going on
But with turns to take and decisions to make,
I can proudly say I wasn't alone.
Throughout my lectures, days of staring at the board,
You were there with me, a hope I never ignored.
Time passed by, but I never got to say,
Thank you for everything, love you this way.
Throughout decisions, tough choices to make,
You were there with me, for more than one it takes,
To build the courage, strength and hope to move on,
A new life, new friends, new home, so I can belong.
Throughout my days of whispers and cry,
You were there with me, for as long as I couldn't try,
Maybe the person I am today would be as hopeless as I was yesterday,
but knowing you are there to help, I'd work forever hard this way.
Throughout my days of joy and laughter,
You were there with me, moments I still look after,
In my heart, you have a special place,
Thank you so much, I love your grace.
But, throughout your days of suffering and pain,
I'm sorry I wasn't there, for now I come in vain,
Guilty of the choices and people I chose over you,
I wish this goodbye, one last goodbye, was not as true.
I wish I had more time with all of you,
To say the words that I needed to,
But it's not too late to, well not for most of you,
To say what my heart truly needed to, a big Thank you.
