Her last sentence made his eyes darken even further and his teeth grit together.

Hana continued. "I didn't mean to do that, Sasuke. I-I genuinely trusted you and that's why—"

"I don't want to hear it," he snapped sharply, bringing her words to a sudden halt. Still, she continued.

"But just know, that I have genuinely enjoyed every moment I've gotten to spent with you—"

"I don't want to hear it!" he suddenly yelled, making her flinch. "After we leave, I never want to see you again. This whole thing, it was nothing. It never happened. You are nothing to me, just like the others. Got it?"

Hana looked down at the ground, a hurt expression on her face. She nodded in agreement. "I agree," she whispered. "You won't have to see me again."

"Good, now get the fuck out. I can't stand looking at you. You make me so fucking sick."

Hana turned around and walked towards the door, pulling it open to leave the room for the last time ever. She hadn't expected Itachi to be standing there, taking a step to the side to allow space for Hana to swiftly move past him. And she did so, without a last glance at the older Uchiha.

Itachi watched her flee before moving into the room, closing the door behind himself. Sasuke was sat on the bed, his head in his hands as he gripped at his hair. The air was thick with anger, and Itachi knew it would be a bad idea to try and interact with his little brother when he was in this mood. However, it still didn't stop him from trying.

"You were too rash—"

"You," Sasuke growled, now looking at his brother with the same hate he held in his eyes for Hana. "I hate you most of all,"

Itachi frowned lightly at his words. He had expected him to say this, so he remained calm and composed as he normally did.

"You should go and apologise to her, Sasuke,"

"You ruined my life," Sasuke stood up from the bed, walking towards the slightly taller boy. "And I regret stopping you from ending it, you should have done it so that I wouldn't have to see your stupid fucking face all the time."

The corner of Itachi's lips curved upwards slightly, still unfazed by his blasphemous words. "I know you don't mean that," he almost chuckled, if it weren't for Sasuke's fist suddenly coming into contact with his cheek.

Itachi barely had time to recover before Sasuke grabbed him by fabric of his clothing and rammed his back into the wall, creating a large gaping hole. Itachi winced in pain as Sasuke suddenly pulled him forward before pushing him into the wall again. Itachi could have easily stopped him, however, he had decided to let his brother take out all his emotions on him. It was the least he could do for putting him through such trauma, Itachi felt.

"I fucking hate you!" Sasuke screamed into his face, throwing Itachi to the ground. Itachi caught himself by his hands but Sasuke was already on top of him again, pulling him onto his back and punching him repeatedly in the face. Blood seeped out of Itachi's nose and onto the floorboards. He let out a cough, the blood infiltrating his mouth now.

Yet, Sasuke didn't stop. He kept punching and punching, a crazy, painful look on his face until he was pulled back by a larger figure.

Fugaku held his son back while Mikoto screamed hysterically, hovering over her first-born who had lost consciousness.

"What is wrong with you, Sasuke?!" Mikoto cried out, looking at Sasuke who was now the one being held against the wall, his feet no longer touching the ground as his father used extreme force on him. Sasuke stared into his father's dark eyes, his gritted teeth exposed and beads of sweat trickling down both their faces. He winced in pain and let out a strangled sound as his father tightened his grip around his son's neck. He couldn't breathe, kicking his feet that hung in the air.

"STOP!! Please, stop!" Hana's voice filled the space, being held back by her mother was extremely pale, yet, trying her hardest to stay composed and talk gently into her daughter's ear, but to no avail. Complete anguish spread across Hana's soaking wet face as the tears continuously rolled out. She screamed at the top of her lungs the words, "YOU'RE GOING TO KILL HIM!!"

Sasuke would've spluttered out her name, if he could even breathe. His father ignored Hana, keeping his eyes on Sasuke's. Fugaku looked unrecognisable to him, transformed into a completely different person. His eyes looked empty, soulless, not the usual ones that his father usually wore— grumpy but still somewhat warm.

"Fugaku, let go of him!" Mikoto's voice also filled the air, a hand clasped around Itachi's cheeks as he laid there with his eyes half shut, his breathing shallow.

Finally, Fugaku let go. Sasuke dropped to the ground, clutching at his throat and gasping desperately for oxygen. He then planted both hands flat on the floorboards as he tried to recover from almost suffocating to death, the black spots that had invaded his vision now beginning to disappear the more he breathed air into his lungs. Beads of sweat dripped onto the dark wood, staining them as he looked up through his hair towards Hana. Seeing her in that state, how terrified and guilty she looked, made his anger completely vanish. Now, he felt sorrow instead.

Hana wasn't looking at him though. She was looking at Itachi, screaming out his name although he could not hear much through his muffled ears.

Sasuke tried to rise to his feet, getting on one knee and pushing up until he was standing. His arms hung loosely in front of him, his back arched as he lost the strength to stand up straight. He swayed slightly, his eyelids fluttering shut.

"It's my fault, not Sasuke's!!" Hana sobbed, looking at Fugaku now who was still in shock by what he had just done to his youngest. "Please, do not blame Sasuke! Blame me instead!"

That was the last thing that Sasuke heard before his hearing completely vanished and his body came crashing to the ground again.
