"Where did we get everyone who works for us now?" I question slightly confused, I mean why can't we do it the same way

"Some were homeless and took years of training others we found on missions and some kind of just appeared at the right time" Massimo says looking at me

Slumping down I just sit there thinking. Why does it have to be so hard just to find people. I mean we can't spend time training people from the very start but we also need them to not know too much because we fight differently than normal people. It's seriously annoying.

"I'm going to get a snack" I say standing up and walking out the door

It was an excuse knowing that it's a struggle to even eat normal meals but I just needed to get out of there and walk. I find that walking in places I'm familiar with soothes me.

I walk down random hallways not really paying attention to where I'm going. Through the years I would take any chance to come to the bases and hang out with my family whenever possible. Or to even spare with other people who aren't my brothers or cousins.

Looking up from the ground I see that I'm in the hallway that leads to Alessandro's office. Deciding I don't really have anything better to do, I head for the door, opening It a faction before I hear rustling, I grab the gun from behind my back and slowly open the door wider.

When I open the door fully I see a guy with his back to me shuffling files on the desk.

"Drop the papers and turn around" I announce my presence, sounding a little like Alessandro the first time we met

The guy does exactly what I say, slowly turning around. It is not until they are fully turned around that I lower my gun my heart rate going back to normal.

"Alexander what the hell are you doing, I almost shot you" I exhale a look of surprise on his face

"Well I guess we're even now" he says looking slightly relieved at me

"What are you talking about" I question very confused

"The first time we met I didn't know who you were, caught you in Capo's office and held a gun to you, don't you remember" Alexander says stepping away from the desk

"Right yeah not the best way to meet someone" I laugh remembering how afraid I was

"I guess it's our thing" Alexander says

"I guess it is" I reply going over to the couch

"So what have you been doing all these years" alexanders asks joining me on the couch

We haven't actually seen each other since we first met, which is kind of weird seeing as he works kind of closely with Alessandro.

"Oh you know, making sure everyone is getting sleep, doing some work for the mafia, getting kidnapped. All the things a kid in the mafia does you know" I make sure to make my tone light-hearted

'Right I heard you were kidnapped, hell Everyone did. We were all looking for you 24/7 most of us barely slept" Alexander is good at making serious topics like kidnapping seem like a child playing with a toy, like it is an everyday thing

"How did you guys end up finding me" I ask suddenly very intrigued

"We actually got a message, it was anonymous telling us the location. We tried seeing who it was but all we could tell was that it came from the place you were being held. Within the hour we were there and breaking down the wall" Alexander laughs at the end, obviously finding the idea as funny as I do

"Why did they have to break down the wall though, like they could have gone through the door like a normal person" I laugh as well finding humour in it

"I don't know. They probably just wanted to make an entrance"

We both laugh about it some more before I get a text, pulling out my phone I see that it was Ares texting me.

During everything we made sure Ares had everything he needs, including a phone and laptop.

From Ares

You need to come back, they are starting to get nervous.

From me

Coming, I'll be there in five.

Putting my phone back in my pocket I stand from the couch and take a couple of steps away from it

"Well, I've got to get back. Nobody likes me being gone for too long you know" I explain

"Good luck with everything" Alexander responds nodding his head

"See you in three years" I say walking out the door

I hear Alexander chuckle before walking down the hallway, making my way back to the meeting room, passing a couple of people in the hallway who give me slight nods.

"Sorry I ran into Alexander and we were talking" I say walking into the meeting room and taking my seat

Everyone seems to release a small breath when they see me.

"It's okay sorellina. We were just talking about some business" Lorenzo explains from beside me

(little sister – sorellina)

I nod scanning the room, everyone seems fine, just a little tired.

"Why don't we come back in a couple of days, Massimo and I can figure out the urgent things on our own for now" Alessandro says going to stand up before I stand up before him

"Nope, I know it's a pain in the but to meet every day and talk about things literally no one wants to talk about but we all are going to keep coming back until we have finished everything. Stop putting everything on yourself, We can help but you have to let us" I explain looking right into Alessandro's eyes

"She's right Fratello, you have to stop deciding everything is for you to do. Let us help" Elijah joins in

(brother – Fratello)

Alessandro sighs before speaking again

"Fine well come back tomorrow and sort everything out" he exhales, standing up and walking out the door with everyone else following behind

Our family dynamic is a little weird, Normally the parents would be making the decisions but I think because Alessandro and Massimo are the capos of the mafia they let them handle everything that has to do with our family. Like a normal family, the parents would have decided when we come back together and figure everything out but they all just sat there letting the capos decide.

Yes, they did look proud when Elijah and I disagreed and said that we all need to do things not just them but they didn't put in the thoughts.

I guess it teaches us how to actually run things without them but it still is a little strange.

We all head straight for the door, getting into our cars and leaving as quickly as possible. Being here for most of the day you don't want to spend any more time here if you don't need to. And right now we are all tired and everyone else is hungry.
