A gunshot sounded, glass shattered and Pietro was on the floor below us.

"Pietro!" Wanda cried as we both ran towards him.

"What?" Clint, who was the one who had fired the gunshot, asked innocently "You didn't see that coming?"

An eruption of beeping came from behind me, I ran to the computer to diagnose the issue. POWER LOSS: CRITICAL

"Seriously?"

The Cradle needed power and a code to function and was being deprived of it.

"I'm re-routing the upload." Dad announced. Steve threw his shield at him, Dad summoned his suit and blasted Steve away. Bruce came up behind Wanda and started choking her, whispering

"Go ahead, piss me off."

"Wanda!" I cried

Dad and Steve were fighting. Wanda had managed to get out of Bruce's grip and blast him away with her magic. Clint was nowhere to be seen. I helped Pietro up, his hand warm.

"I promise I will fix up your arm at some point. How does it feel?"

"Not too bad but if we could do it quickly that would be nice." He replied.

Thor then strode into the room. Ok so everyone plus two and minus one was here. The God strode towards the Cradle and summoned his lighting, implanting the energy into the machine, blinding everyone. Computers started beeping about a power overload, he ignored them. The Cradle blasted open, I covered my head, Pietro moved in front of me. Debris was everywhere, the mess was awful. A man with a red metal body emerged, a glowing stone on his forehead. We all stared at him, he stared back. A moment of silence passed. He lunged at Thor who threw him through the window and into the party lounge next door. The red man stopped in midair, hovering over the furniture

"What is that?" Pietro asked, his accent thick.

"A red, flying, metal man." I replied as though it was obvious, which it was.

"I got that bit," he grinned, "I mean who is it?"

"I've no idea, Thor seems to though."

We all watched as he stared at his reflection in the glass, Thor signalling for no one to attack him. We watched as he summoned clothes for himself, a yellow cape and grey unitard thing-I had no idea what it was- and turned towards us. Thor set his hammer down and walked slowly towards him. Wanda and Bruce came in, staring at him, Pietro moved silently to her, the faint whizz of his speed less urgent.

The man came towards us and came down. "I'm sorry that was..." He paused, "Odd." He turned to Thor "Thank you," Thor only looked at him.

"Thor, you helped create this?" Steve asked curtly, which I thought was a little harsh although he wasn't a human, that didn't make him a 'this'.

"I had a vision, a whirlpool that sucks in all hope and life and in the centre is that." He pointed to the golden stone on the vision-man-but-not-man's forehead.

"That little gem?" Pietro asked.

"It's the mind stone, one of the six infinity stones." Thor replied.

"Oh I read something about that on a space theory website after I fell down a rabbit hole doing homework once. They're unmatched in power and cannot be parallelled in destructive capabilities." I put in. People began talking as Pietro nudged me and asked smirking

"Space theory website?"

"Shut up." I shoved him playfully, he elbowed me back.

"Then why would you-" Steve began
