We walked slowly into the empty church, both of our eyes trained on the large throne in the centre of the room.

"Talk." Wanda commanded "And if you're wasting our time..."

"Did you know that this church is in the exact centre of the city? They made it so that everyone could be equally close to God. I like that, the geometry of belief. You're wondering why you can't look inside my head." A metallic voice ran through the room.

"Sometimes it's hard, but sooner or later every man shows himself," Wanda replied steadily.

Ultron then stood up, revealing his new, large, metallic body, I raised an eyebrow, Wanda's mouth parted for a brief second before shutting again.

"Oh I'm sure they do, but you needed something more than a man. That's why you let Stark take the sceptre." Ultron told her.

"I didn't expect," She stopped herself "But I saw Stark's fear and I knew it would control him, make him self destruct."

"Everyone creates the thing they dread. Men of peace create engines of war, invaders create avengers, people create..." Ultron stopped "Smaller people? Uh... children!! Sorry, I lost the word there. Children. Designed to supplant them, make them end."

"Is that why you've come," I asked "To end the Avengers?"

"I've come to save the world. But also... yeah"

In the Sokovia Base Ultron was in the big warehouse.

"This is a start, but there's something we need to begin the real work." We walked in and immediately saw blue and red flickering lights and buttons, computer screens and chains and machines. Lots and lots of machines.

"All of those are?" Wanda asked.

"Me," Ultron finished her sentence, I felt something that might have been apprehension pooling into my stomach. "I have what the Avengers will never have, Harmony." He started yanking various chains, lifting something up. "They're disconnected, Starks already got them turning on eachother and when you get inside the rest of their heads..."

"Everyone's plan is not to kill them," I interrupted.

"To make them martyrs, you need patience." Ultron said flying to me slowly "To see the big picture." I started getting bored of his big speeches so I decided to annoy him, just a little.

"I don't see the big picture. I have a little picture. I take it out and look at it every day." I thought of my parents, hoisting up the mask of confidence to disguise my anger at the world.

"You lost your parents, I know. I've seen the records."

"The records aren't the picture." I sneered cockily, Wanda touched my arm in warning.

"Pietro."

"No, please." Ultron ordered.

"We were 10 years old. Having dinner, the four of us." I looked at Wanda as I narrated, she looked away. "When the first shell hits two floors below, it makes a hole in the floor, its big. Our parents go in and the whole building starts falling. I grab her, roll under the bed as the second shell hits." I paused. "But it doesn't go off, it just sits there in the rubble. Three feet from our faces and on the side of the shell is painted one word."

"Stark," Wanda finished, her eyes glowing for a split second

"We wait two days for Tony Stark to kill us." I sneered.

"Every shift in the bricks, every effort to save us, I think this will set it off. We wait for it to blow."

"I know what they are." I said in a low voice.

"I wondered why it was just you who survived the experiments, now I don't. We'll make it right. You and I can hurt them." Ultron said to me "But you." He turned to Wanda, his metallic fingers grazing her forehead. I clenched my fists. "Will tear them apart from the inside."
