Chapter 17 - Pietro

After a while, Y/N got up suddenly and went to the arrow guy. I still didn't fully trust him, he did electrocute my sister after all. I was close enough to hear what she asked him, despite the fact that her voice was low.

"Did Nat get back?"

The archer, Clint I think, didn't reply but shook his head tightly. Y/N slumped slightly and sat back down, all her smiles gone. She became contemplative. I watched her carefully. Watched how her brows creased together, watched how her eyes darted about, hardly blinking, how her fingers fidgeted in her lap and I watched a decision form in her mind. She lifted her finger to her ear and spoke through her communication line

"Does anyone know where Nat is?"

Judging by the look on her face, the answer was not the one she wanted.

"Any news?" Steve asked

"Nothing on Nat but they figured out that third party ally in NEXUS." She said glumly

"Who was it?" Clint asked

"JARVIS." She replied.

Wanda and I looked at each other in confusion. Y/N noticed and started explaining from the beginning.

We landed at the base and walked into the lab. They had already managed to get the Cradle in and Bruce and Stark were there, trying to open it. I stepped slightly in front of Wanda, protectively. Y/N walked forward and hugged Stark, asking again if anyone had found anything on Nat.

"Clint has tuned into her channel, she's sending morse code over." Stark said "You'll have your best friend back soon." Y/N visibly sagged with relief, Stark smiled

"I'm gonna say this once," Steve walked over threateningly.

"How about none-ce?" Stark asked sarcastically. That was where Y/N got it from.

"Shut it down,"

"Nope, not gonna happen."

"You don't know what you're doing." Steve's authority was clear in his voice.

"And you do?" Bruce asked "She's not in your head?" He pointed at my sister, I glared at him.

"Both of them can be trusted," Y/N told them steadily "Many things could have gone very badly if they weren't there to help us."

"I know you're angry." Wanda said non threateningly.

"Oh we're way past that," Banner replied quietly "I could choke the life out of you and never change a shade."

"Banner after everything that's happened," Steve started

"Is nothing compared to what's coming," Tony shouted

"You don't know what's in there,"

"This isn't a game."

They all started shouting over each other. I rolled my eyes in a bored manner and looked at Y/N who was now standing beside me, she gestured to all of them and rolled her eyes back.

"Are they always like this?" I asked quietly.

"Usually a lot worse," She replied matter-of-factly

"Give me a second." I sped round the room, unplugging everything I could find except the lights and heating, I kept those. Bruce looked at me in shock. "No no go on." I looked at Stark "You were saying?"
