Ford POV:

I heard a scream and immediately bolted in that direction. I ran for what felt like mere seconds before I came across the gremloblin attacking Y/N. I pulled my gun off the holster and shot it twice before I roared and ran off. I swiftly got to Y/N to see if she was hurt. It wasn't too bad, she had her arms up defending herself, but her shirt ripped along her gut and it was bleeding. Her jeans ripped and she had slight bruises on her knees. Since she had her arms up defending herself she got scratched pretty badly.

She seemed to be in flashbacks, she must've looked into its eyes. I sighed and scooped her up into my arms easily and ran back to the shack as fast as I could, considering I was holding a woman bridal style. She looked so panicked, it troubled me. When I got in the house the twins weren't in the kitchen, nor was Stanley, so I went down into the basement and set her down in my chair at my desk as I looked around for medical supplies.

It was pointless trying to talk to her right now. She was reliving her worst fears right now, so I just focused on tending her wounds. If I got there any later she most likely would've died. After a bit, I finished cleaning and wrapping her wounds. I put my trenchcoat over her like a blanket and just worked peacefully as I waited for her to snap out of this state to talk to me. She would most likely be panicked, so I need to be ready for that, she might even try and swing at me, but I doubt she could hit me too hard compared to what happened those 30 years.

Back to you:

It felt like hours that you were reliving these terrible fears, and what that thing did to you stung and hurt like hell. After a bit, you snapped out of it and came back to reality. You weren't in the woods anymore, you were in the basement, in a chair with Ford's trenchcoat over you, it was quite comfortable actually. You looked around and saw Ford looking at some paperwork, he didn't seem to notice that you were docile again.

"Stanford?" You said bluntly, you just realized how shakey your voice sounded, you put a hand on your cheek and you felt your own tears, still flowing down your face. Ford looked up and you and set down what he was looking at before walking over to you, putting one hand on your shoulder and the other on your cheek as he wiped your tears away with his thumb. His hand felt warm. "Are you alright Y/N?" You nodded a bit, still not fully sure about the situation. "How did I get down here-?" You asked, sounding a bit calmer now.

"I went out to find you and I heard you scream. I followed the sound, shot the gremloblin, which is the thing that was attacking you, and carried you back here. I've already informed the others that you are down here and safe." That explanation was good, so you nodded. He leaned back up and removed his hand from your face, moving it to your shoulder so both his hands were on both your shoulders.

"Now what were you thinking going out in the woods alone? Do you even know what's out there?" He asked, sounding a bit more stern. "I-i was trying to stay on the trails I swear. I stepped off a bit and lost it..It was an accident Stanford- sorry." He sighed. "It's alright. I just don't want you hurt. Speaking of how's everything feeling? Your gut? Your arms?" He said as he sounded more calm once again.

"Sore- and stinging a bit..but it's okay- it's not too bad." You said as you looked at the bandages he had wrapped around your arms and your ripped shirt showing the bandage around your stomach. "As I expected. Are you sure you are alright though? My friend was completely terrified and paranoid after being attacked by the gremloblin." He said as he pulled his trenchcoat over you a bit more since it had been slipping off.

"Yes, I'm okay. Thank you, Ford." He smiled warmly at you. "It's no problem Y/N. But please, take me with you next time. The woods are far more dangerous than you'd think." He said as he finally let go of your shoulders. "Yeah- I'll be sure to invite you to come with me next time. Jeez, that thing ruined this shirt- I don't wanna go up there like this.." You had started to mumbled to yourself about the ripped shirt, and Stanford walked off, you thought out of boredom of hearing you talk.

After a moment he came back with a second red sweater of his. "Here, borrow this," He said as he held it out to you. You felt your face get red. "Y-you don't need to offer me a swea-" he cut you off by raising his hand slightly to shush you. "It's fine. Take it Y/N, put it on before you head upstairs so the kids don't see your bandaged stomach, I don't want them to worry." he set the red turtleneck down on your lap and turned around to go back to his work.

You sat up in the chair and looked at the turtle neck. His trenchcoat had slipped off your shoulders again. You sighed and slipped on his sweater, it was oversized on you as you expected. The turtleneck part was nearly covering your mouth and the sleeves were far too long. "It's a little big on me Ford-" you said with a slight chuckle as you stood up.

He turned to face you again, got red, and chuckled once more. "I guess so." He walked back over to you and towered over you as usual, he was only about a foot away from you now. You could feel your own face getting redder the more you looked up at him, and saw his face get red and he looked down at you.
