You took his hand and stood up, he seemed to remember to let go of your hand this time. "It's already coming down pretty hard put there- we're gonna be soaked by the time we get to the shack." You said with a short sigh. "Come here, we aren't gonna get completely soaked." He said standing at the door. You remember to guys needed to pay but when you looked back, Pacifica just waved you goodbye, was she just letting you go without paying?
You were too tired right now to care so you just sighed and walked to Ford at the door. He had taken off his trenchcoat, he looked like he had a strong figure without the trenchcoat on. "So do you have a plan-? Why did you take your trenchcoat off?" He only chuckled at your statement and pulled you close to him, holding the trenchcoat over you both like a shield. You were pretty close to Ford now, and you could feel your face getting redder by the second.
"There, now we'll hardly get wet." His left arm was over your shoulder and his right arm was holding the trenchcoat over your heads keeping you dry, for the most part. You both started a quick walk back to the shack, hoping to get there before the rain comes down harder than it is now, it looks like hail. Ford's arm must hurt from the hail hitting it.
You two were nearly back at the shack and it seemed like the hail storm was getting harder by the second. You guys got back to the shack safely, and a little damp. "Where have you two been?" It was Stan, he was waiting at the front door for us. Ford held his trenchcoat in his arm. "Stanley calm yourself
We got a little sidetracked, that's all." "You got a little sidetracked? You were out for 4 and a half hours!" He sounded mad, oops.
"Stanley. You know that I can handle myself, I know these woods like the back of my hand!" Ford said, now getting a bit angry himself, it seemed like they were about to fight. "Yeah but can she handle herself?" Stan gestured to you and you froze. "Stanley-" Ford stepped between you and Stan's gaze. "She was with me, she was fine." Ford had dropped his trenchcoat on the floor, and it seemed like it ripped a bit from the hail.
The Stan twins were arguing. And you were in the middle of it, literally. Honestly you got a bit mad at the two, for one, Stan was in the wrong for treating Ford and you like kids with a curfew. But you and Ford were in the wrong for being out so long and not telling anybody. So you let them argue for a bit, hoping they would work it out like siblings did, sometimes. But it seemed like they were gonna fight for a while, and you didn't wanna listen to this.
"OH, WOULD YOU TWO CAN IT ALREADY!" You shout, louder than you wanted. "I know siblings fight but jeez, both of us were in the wrong alright? Just shut up." You felt bad for seeming so rude, but you felt like a headache was coming on after listening to this. Ford sighed and nodded. Stan scoffed, crossed his arms and turned away. "Quit acting childish Stanley." Ford said with a huff and he rolled his eyes. "Why don't you-!" "I SAID CAN IT!" you shouted before they could argue again.
"Wow, I never thought I'd meet a lady who acts like Mom." Stan said and rolled his eyes. "Do you mean a woman who can finally get you to behave?"Ford said. You sighed. "Ford don't start, please. Listen I'm gonna go to my room, Ford if you don't mind- I wanna stitch up your trenchcoat." "Quit being our mother." You just glared at him with blank anger. He immediately shut up. "I can stitch it myself," Ford said calmly.
"No no, let me do it. You have work to do, I bet." You said as you picked up his trenchcoat. "If you insist," Ford said with a shrug as he walked past Stanley and opened the vending machine door, walking downstairs to the basement- or lab. It was both really. "Where did you two even go?" Stanley said, looking at you again. "We went off the trail and lost track of time." You said as you walked upstairs.
You didn't have a needle or thread to fix Ford's trenchcoat, but you know who did. You set Ford's trenchcoat on your bed and walked to Mabel and dippers room. Dipper was taking a nap and Mabel was knitting a sweater. "Hey Mabel, do you happen to have sewing supplies?" You asked as you stepped in the room, trying to stay quiet as to not wake Dipper. "Of course I do! Also, Dipper is a heavy sleeper, don't worry about waking him." You chuckled a bit. "Alright then. So can I borrow the sewing supplies for a bit? Specifically a light brown string?" You asked as you walked up to her. She was knitting a purple and red sweater, the design was indistinguishable.
"Yeah, it's in a shoebox under my bed, I put a bunch of stickers on it that spell out 'sewing stuff'" she said with a short giggle. "Well that makes it easy to find," you said as you chuckled and grabbed the box from under her bed. "Thank you Mabel, I'll return it to you as soon as I am finished." You said warmly as you stood up "Anytime Y/N!" She said as she went back to knitting. You walked out of their bedroom and into yours to start fixing Ford's sweater.

Do you guys like the longer chapter? Because I honestly like writing longer chapters like this, but I run out of ideas fast.
