" Raghav, will you come with me for 10 minutes?"

I gave a quick nod to my father-in-law's question and watched him walk ahead. But instead of following him right away, I turned towards my wife or I can say soon-to-be wife. According to my family traditions she's my other half but I'll wait for our wedding to officially call her mine.

Her brows raised up in question and I couldn't help but give her a gentle grin before planting a soft kiss on her forehead. Leaving her in the company of those two idiots, Shravani and Aparajit, I finally started to follow Mr Jadeja.

I could feel the thrill dancing in my heart; in just five days, we'll become one forever. Sure, it's a bit rushed but I've already accepted her as my forever. There were no doubts from my side and I was ready to be with her in any condition.

We stepped into Mr. Jadeja's office, and he gave me a subtle nod, signalling me to lock the door behind me. As he settled into his chair, I took my place across from his and prepared myself for his scolding.

After everything that I did with Jaanki behind his back, it's obvious that he's gonna be furious at me.

"For months you managed to fool me," his stern voice came, making me shift in my seat. " In my own palace you were falling in love with my daughter. Did your job mean nothing to you?"

I opened my mouth to respond, but all that came out was a squeak. Clearing my throat I answered," I'm sorry, Sir."

His eyes narrowed,"No, you're not sorry. It's clear from your face."

"You're right," I couldn't help but smile. " I'm not sorry for falling in love with her."

He leaned back with a sly smirk playing over his lips. "And for the other things that you did? Did you really think that you would enter my house and fool me just like that?"

I blinked back in confusion. "I don't understand, whatever you're saying. "

"You can't hide forever, Raghav," he leaned forward and I let out a shaky breath. " It's time to remove that mask of yours. "

And then there were two.

Getting up from his seat, circling the table until he stood in front of me. I followed his action and stood up but couldn't match his gaze. How was I supposed to answer all the questions that he had for me?

"You were seven when I last saw you. Young and innocent. But now? You've turned into a businessman who is fooling his own rivals."

His next move caught me off guard. He wrapped his arms around me, pulling me into an unexpected embrace. " It's good to meet you again, Rajkumar Raghav Ravindra Raghuvanshi."

The name echoed in my mind- familiar yet so distant. I mentally kicked myself for not connecting the dots earlier. Of course, Mr. Jadeja wasn't a clueless man. He wouldn't let his only daughter get married to some ordinary man.
