Raspberry went home while I stayed behind with Cherry. I'm watching Plum practice her drum set. Honestly, she's doing a tremendous job; I can't think of anyone better to play the drums.

Me: Cool Coconuts!

Cherry: Really good! You're coming along great, Plum!

Plum: Thanks, Cherry! Now I can keep the beat for my dance students!

Cherry: Well, that's all for today! Tomorrow we'll learn paradiddles!

Me: Paradiddles?

Plum: Paradiddles?

Me: What the heck are those?

Cherry: I'll show you.

Plum gives Cherry the drumsticks and the latter performs what she calls paradiddles. She rat-a-tat-tats on the drums, tat-tat-tats the cymbals, and at the end, twirls the drumsticks.

Plum and I look at each other.

Me: Now we know.

Plum: Yup. We sure do, don't we?

Cherry regains Plum her drumsticks.

Plum: Whoa! Can't wait!

Cherry: At the rate you're learning, you'll be doing that with your eyes closed by the time we hold the recital at the end of the week!

Oh God.

I forgot.

I forgot what episode this is.

Plum suddenly develops stage fright, despite being the most extroverted person I have ever met. I think the word "extrovert" was made because of Plum.

Plum: Recital? Oh.

She wears an uncomfortable frown and chases after Cherry.

Plum: Cherry, wait!

Cherry: What is it, Plum?

Plum: D-do we really need to have a recital?

Cherry: Well, sure. A recital is customary.

Plum: Is customary... necessary?

Cherry: A recital is a good learning milestone. Something to work for. (giggles) Well, that's what my music teacher used to say.

Me: Your music teacher?

Cherry: Well, yeah. (chuckles) How else do you think I got so good?

Me: That teacher of yours must've been a terrific person, for you to become a world famous popstar.

Cherry: Mm. Without her, I probably wouldn't be where I am today. I owe everything to her.

Me: That's sweet. Do you ever visit her?

Cherry: No, but... I should. As soon as I get back, I'll drop by.

Me: I'm sure she'd love to see how much you've grown. If I was her, I'd be proud.

That seems to put Cherry in a berry happy mood, because she just keeps on smiling as she leaves the studio.

Plum: Uh, excuse me?! I'm still here?!

Me: Whoa, Plum, relax. What's the matter?

Plum: It's just... I-I need to practice and you're distracting.

Me: Oh, really? I'm distracting?

Plum: Mm-hm.

I run over to her drum set and raise my hand over it.
