Narrator

In hopes of regaining some more recent memories, Y/n asked Haerin if they could go to the zoo.

Haerin refused.

Even though Haerin had learnt to manage her sensitive hearing due to work reasons, it didn't mean that it still didn't hurt.

- Haerin POV -

Y/n asked to go to the museum.

Y/n was very honest that they were hoping to regain some memories. They told me to not get discouraged by it because they wanted to make new memories too.

"Is this the museum?" Y/n asked me once we arrived at the museum.

"Yes!" I exclaimed all excited.

"Okay!" Y/n said with a wide smile before buying our tickets.

We walked into the museum and I got so excited that I started dragging Y/n around to all of my favorite exhibits.

The whole time, Y/n didn't say a word. They just smiled and nodded as I went on and on about the previous times we had come to the museum.

I started to feel a little suffocated with my mask and cap, so I took them off.

"Haerin, you're an idol now. You can't be spotted out in public," Y/n suddenly scolded me.

I sighed a bit frustrated.

I thought that for once I could let loose and just be myself... but it was clear that I was wrong.

- Y/N POV -

I felt really bad that I couldn't remember anything.

Haerin seemed so excited about our 3rd date to the museum but I couldn't seem to match her energy.

Everything just felt so bland.

"I wish I never became an idol," Haerin suddenly whispered as we stood in line to get into the rainforest exhibit.

Her mask and hat really seemed to be bothering her.... but the problem was... her manager and Minji had told me make sure no one spotted her.

Haerin's whole energy went down once I refused to let her take her mask off.

As we walked into the rainforest, I realized that that the exhibit was a bit dim and everyone seemed too busy looking at the animals and trees to probably even notice Haerin at all.

While Haerin was looking over the railing and down to the crocodile in the water, I walked up behind her and gently took off her mask.

"What are you doing?" Haerin turned to ask as I stayed as close to her as possible.

"Your mask was bothering you and I want you to enjoy yourself without worrying," I whispered in her ear.

"What about my idol image?" Haerin whispered back.

"Don't worry, I'll do everything I can to protect your image," I answered.

Haerin gave me a cute smile and kisses my cheek. "Thank you," she whispered.

We continued to walk along the rainforest trail and Haerin seemed to be actively looking for something.

"FROGG!!" Haerin suddenly squealed.

Haerin had the most adorable smile on her face as she seemed to start noticing more frogs. She stood still for a bit.

"Listen," she told me.

I watched quietly and tried to pin point what it is that she was listening to.

Suddenly, a thunder sound echoed through the exhibit and almost out of instinct, my body pulled Haerin close and I covered her ears.

"Woah?" I thought to myself.

Haerin let out a deep breath against my chest then pulled away from my embrace.

She had teary eyes and a sad smile.

"Are you alright?" I asked a bit confused.

Haerin just nodded as she seemed to try to recollect herself.

"Did I hurt you?" I asked a bit worried.

"No... I'm just.. really really happy," Haerin sniffled a bit.

My heart broke a little.

I couldn't bare to see Haerin getting hurt because I couldn't remember.

"Oh look, a frog!" I suddenly exclaimed as I noticed a frog on the tree branch next to us.

Haerin got a little startled at my suddenness but quickly got all giddy. She stared at frog up close and I took her hat off in fear that she might bump the frog off the tree. Haerin seemed too distracted to even notice.

The frog suddenly ribbit and Haerin flinched.

She suddenly started giggling and my heart fluttered.

"I've seen that smile before," I thought to myself.

Haerin started looking around the rainforest again and a memory flashed through my head.

"She likes frogs,"... "FROGS!".... "I wanna kiss her"....

It was a memory of our first museum date.

In this exact same spot...

With the same cute smile.

My heart began to race and I couldn't help but to step up to Haerin and kiss her.

I kissed her desperately as if I was afraid to lose just that one memory.

Because I was...

"What was that about?" Haerin asked as I pulled away from her lips.

- Haerin POV -

My hand immediately went up to my mouth when I realized that Y/n had remembered something between us.

I couldn't help but tear up at the soft look Y/n was giving me.

Like if I was no longer a stranger....

"You've always looked so cute when you listen to the frogs," Y/n suddenly teased.

I couldn't help but run into Y/n's arms as I started to feel overwhelmed.

"I miss you so much," my voice cracked.

I could tell that Y/n was covering my face so no one would see and I just hugged them even tighter.

"I miss you too," Y/n whispered back...."That's why I'm going to do everything I can to remember at least our memories."
