One of my first Newjeans stories.
"Okay," Haerin whispered as she snuggled into my chest and made herself comfortable.
I couldn't explain it but the way she positioned herself on me felt so nice.
"We went on our first date before we had our first kiss," Haerin started to explain.
"You took me to the zoo and bought me my first pair of ear warmers. They had a frog design I really loved. It was the first thing you ever bought me...," Haerin softly continued to tell her story.
"I think that's the moment I fell in love with you. You were so attentive and did your best to make me feel more comfortable with my surroundings,"
- Haerin POV -
Everything felt like it was starting to fall back in place.
I was finally in Y/n's arms again and not only were we back together but we were officially engaged.
"The next day at school. You finally kissed me. I wasn't sure if going to the zoo was a date or not so you kissed me to let me know that it was a date," I continued to explain to Y/n.
It was nice to finally talk about the past with Y/n.
"You make me sound so romantic," Y/n chuckled out.
"You were. You still are," I answered with a peck to the cheek.
"You would always cover my ears around loud noises, you always made sure to carry an umbrella around to protect me from the rain, you used to show up to all my showcase and I would go to your boxing matches. Even when I was confused about my feelings and unconsciously hurt you... you always took care me," I kept reminiscing.
"You did school showcases?" Y/n suddenly asked.
"Mhm," I hummed as I took out my phone.

"This was my first showcase!" I got up to show Y/n a photo on my phone.
"Oh my god! You look so cute!" Y/n-ah cutely exclaimed.
"Thank you!" I giggled a bit shyly.
"You were late that day. I was crying because I thought you weren't going to show up at all," I began to reminisce again.
"I made you cry?!" Y/n asked in shock.
"Mhm, but I made you cry a lot too," I answered a bit embarrassed.
"Welp!" Y/n responded as they wrapped their arms around my waist.
"I promise not to make you cry anymore, if you promise not to make cry anymore too," Y/n cutely whispered.
"I can't promise that!" I jokingly tried to push Y/n away.
"No?" Y/n began to tease.
"Nope!" I teased back.
"Oh really?" Y/n asked before starting to tickle me.
"Nooo!" I screeched in laughter.
"Yes!" Y/n giggled as they pinned me to the bed.
"It hurts! Stop it, it hurts!" I yelled laughing.
Y/n slowly stopped with a cute laughter matching mine.
We both started to calm down a bit and stared into each other's eyes.
Y/n leaned in for a second and kissed my lips.
"I love you, Frog," Y/n suddenly whispered.
"What did you say?" I asked in shock.
Y/n seemed a bit confused too.
"Frog? I'm- I'm sorry. I'm not sure why I said that," Y/n stuttered.
I couldn't help but giggle at my confused little Y/n.
"You always used to call me that," I explained.
"Really?" Y/n asked a bit relieved.
"Mhm," I hummed.
"Oh thank god! I thought I offended you," Y/n chuckled.
"So, are you gonna continue or what?" Y/n teased as they hovered over me.
I couldn't help but just stare at Y/n's lips.
I missed those lips this whole time. I missed Y/n so much since before the hospital and then Y/n was suddenly taken from me.
The Y/n I loved the most was taken from me but at least Y/n's existence didn't change.
"So? You gonna-" Y/n was about to ask something when I abruptly said....
"Just shut up and kiss me!"
