Divergent High: Chapter 6

Chapter 7
Tris POV:
Theo is one of my good friends from Elementary school. He went to another high school but we still check on each other. He was one of my bestest friends. And still is. I get to his house and knock on the door. "Tris! It's so good to see you" his mother says opening the door. I give her a hug and walk in. I look around and remember all the memories Theo and I had together. We'd make forts, sit on the bench and tell ghost stories in the back garden at night, eat our cereal with- "Tris!" Theo says running down the stairs. I give him the biggest hug ever. "I missed you." "Me too Tris. Me too."
We sit in his living room eating ice cream and catch up about life. He already knows Emma and her friends hate me at school but I told him about Chris and the others and he tells me that's good. I guess high school might not all be that bad. People like Emma might just make it feel that way. "There's this one guy. I thought he was starting to be kind to me. But he turned out to be an idiot." "Whats his name? I might know him because we played a football game against your school about two weeks ago." He says frowning. "Four." I say and I feel my hands start to sweat thinking of him. Why do I feel like this? "Brown hair, blue eyes and about 6 feet?" Theo says. "Yeah that's him." I remember his deep blue eyes sending heat through me. "Yeah. Well he's a good one he is. My dad tells me if they're good in football, they're good in everything. But I guess not everything.." He says seeing that hurt look on my face.
After a while I say goodbye and walk home. I watch telly for a while then head off to bed after taking a shower. I am going to keep my head down tomorrow. I'm not going to ask Four why he didn't come. He wanted something, I was there. He wasn't there so his fault. I'm done with players. It's time I make the best of my high school years and stick with friends I trust.
