I nodded. "If I end up spending the day here, I'll feel like I'm ignoring the matter. Knowing myself, I might never bring it up again if I don't talk about it with her as soon as possible," I rambled, my words rushing out. Jason's smile reassured me. "I understand, don't worry."

Jason's phone rang, interrupting the moment between us. He glanced at the screen and said, "You can go ahead and take a shower. I'll walk you to your hotel room." I was about to protest, but before I could say anything, Jason answered the call and stood up. Well, I might as well make use of the opportunity to freshen up.

After a relaxing shower, I stepped out of the bathroom, wrapped in a fluffy towel. As I looked around the bedroom, I realized my clothes were nowhere to be found. How could I forget about the flour incident? Jason must have taken them for some dry cleaning.

Panic briefly set in as I wondered what I would wear. Then an idea struck me. I grabbed my phone and quickly texted Jason, asking if I could borrow some of his clothes. Almost immediately, he replied with an enthusiastic "OK."

Feeling relieved, I ventured into Jason's wardrobe, scanning the array of options. My eyes landed on a simple black shirt, and I pulled it out and wore it with a black belt.

I put on my sneakers and made my way out of the bedroom. Jason is engrossed in his phone call, unaware of my presence. I opt not to interrupt him and head towards the couch to take a seat. Just as I'm about to sit down, I hear Jason's voice calling my name, "Avery".

"You look amazing," Jason said with a heartwarming smile as he walked towards me. I could feel my cheeks flushing with warmth. "If I keep seeing you in my shirts, I'm going to have a heart attack," he added playfully, a silly grin adorning his face. I couldn't help but smile in response.

"There you go again, princess, you're killing me with your smile," Jason said, placing his hand over his heart in a mock gesture.

"I'm pretty sure you said something similar when we first met," I chuckled.

"And I'll keep repeating it because it's true," Jason replied, his grin widening. If it was even possible, my cheeks grew even hotter.

"You're so adorable," he said, pulling me into an embrace and placing a gentle kiss on my forehead and wrapping me in a hug. I push him away. Jason is bigger than me, so the only reason he moves away is just to indulge me "It's just because you keep teasing me,".

"Can we leave?" Jason asked.I hesitated for a moment, considering his offer. "You don't have to accompany me. It's just next door. I can manage on my own," I replied.

Jason's eyes softened, and he took my hand and squeezed it gently. "I know it's close, but I want to spend a little more time with you, even if it's just for ten seconds," he said, his voice filled with warmth and longing.

With a smile, I allowed him to lead the way as we walked towards the door. Soon enough, we stood in front of my hotel room, our hands still intertwined, reluctant to let go.

"I guess this is it," Jason said with a sad smile. "I almost forgot your clothes. I'll bring them by later. I took them for dry cleaning. And if anything else happens with Eva, call me immediately. You don't have to stay with her. You can come over and stay in my room. Or if you're not comfortable with that, I can arrange another room for you," Jason rambled on with concern.

Trying to ease Jason's worries, I reached out and gently held his hands.
But seeing his persistent concern, I decided to take a bold step. Standing on my toes, I leaned in and planted a soft, lingering kiss on his lips. At first, Jason was taken aback, his eyes widening in surprise. However, he quickly reciprocated, wrapping his arms around me and deepening the kiss.

As our lips parted, Jason looked at me with a mix of astonishment and delight. His eyes twinkled, and a smile tugged at the corners of his lips. "Well, that's certainly one way to distract me from worrying about you," he chuckled, his voice laced with affection.

We separated, and I couldn't help but blush at the boldness of my action. But the smile on Jason face made it all worth it.

"Well, I should get going," I said, breaking the silence. Jason nodded. "Take care, and if anything happens with Eva, call me, okay?" Jason said with a smile.

"I'm going to go now," Jason added. I watched him walk back to his hotel room. With a smile, he mouthed the words, "Don't forget to call." I smiled and nodded in response. He entered the room, closing the door behind him.

Taking a deep breath, I turned towards the door of my own hotel room. Just as I was about to reach for the door to open it, the door swung open and there stood Eva.
