My consciousness back, and I hear people talking.

"It is not good to let her father know about this, ma'am.  And the child doesn't want her father to know, also." That is manong voice.

I tried to open my eyes to see who he was talking to.

"Is there any problem happening inside her own home that must be her comfort zone?"

Bago pa man may masabing iba si manong ay pinilit ko ang katawan kong bumangon mula sa higaan ng hospital "Why I am here?" It is my defense mechanism. Acts like nothing happened.

"You are over fatigue. There are too many bruises on your body that make you weak to create any movement, better rest, woman." I hissed when I heard him beside the door.

I settle this on my own, or anytime soon my father will know this, and this will be the chance to competitors to backstab my dad.

Nakaramdam ako ng sakit sa katawan, but it didn't stop me from walking out of this room.

"Let her. She's strong. She can bear the pain."

I smiled to manong and sign him that I was ready to go. I hold to his arm when my lower body becomes numb. I can not move it. I can't feel it.

I heard that guy 'tsk' and looking confidently that his hypothesis is right.

Inalalayan ako ni manong makaupo sa bed. "Bukas, pwede ka ng lumabas ng hospital." Malamig nitong sabi bago ako tinabihan at ibinigay saakin ang aking telepono.

I look at him, displeased ng malaman kong nasa kanya ito. "What did you do to my phone?" I accused him checking my privacy through my phone, and he raised his arm in the air, expressing that he didn't do anything.

"I just call your recent call, and that him." Turo nya kay manong.

"How did you open it?"

"Walang password malamang easy access."

"Did you search something on this phone? Tell me the truth or else I'll sue you, my father is the best lawyer." I  said.

Tinaasan niya lamang ako ng kilay at inismidad. Is he thinking that I am too 'presko'? Fuck him then.

"Out of my room," tinalikuran ko na ang mga tao sa aking pagkakahiga emphasizing that I don't want anyone in this room.

He looks at me and raises with his hand the food that he is preparing.

"You should eat. you're too skinny."

I can be easily offended by his words.

Umiwas ako ng tingin at tumawag kay manong to bring me foods. He knows what food I take. And this man doesn't know about me. Faking her concern and expressing his pity. I hate everything from him. I hate him.

"Ano pa bang pagkain ang gusto mo? At inabala mo pa ang manong mo,"

"You're nosy, I hate it," a matter of fact.

"Ikaw? Binubusalan ka ba palagi sainyo?"

Taka niya akong tinignan.

"Republic act. no. 7438, article III, section 12, I have the right to remain silent. "

"What happened to you? Bakit marami kang pasa sa katawan? Did someone hurt you? Did someone threaten you? You mention that your father is a lawyer. Did your father's competitors threaten you? How's your father? Is he okay? Are you okay?"

"Section 17, Article III of the Constitution, I invoke my rights against self incrimination, I refuse to answer."I fired back, and I saw shock run to his face.

Balak mo silang itulak lahat? Including me? You never did it to me, you always chased."

Shock envelop my expression now. What is he saying? What game he is trying to play with me?

"I don't have anyone,"

"Then you have me now," he said in a calm voice. He is trying to tame me.

"Dream on."

"Mamaya ka na mahiga, kakain mo lang, I'm afraid you experience indigestion and heartburn."

"I heard his name is Aiden Kyiel Xavier. They also owned this hospital. He is also an aspiring doctor and lawyer." I deserve this after not eating for a damn week.

"I hate lawyer. And when did you become so nosy?" I joke around, and he just laughs. I love to hear those sounds. It makes me feel alive.

"I just think that name will be a good friend of yours."

"I don't think so."

"Wear this. You need this in your fight. And please don't push everyone who wants to join your battle."

Tumango ako sa kanya at yinakap si manong. He became a father figure for me. I am thankful to God that I have them. Even having an unhappy and incomplete family, God still gives me someone I can hold when I am weak.
