You lived a happy life. picture perfect in fact.

You and Your husband were high school sweethearts and were each others first for everything and you couldn't help but smile each time you reminisced on your relationship.

Matthew was one of those people who no matter what he did in life just had such an impact on people lives.

He always put so much time and effort and passion into his career, his marriage, his family life and you always admired him deeply for that.

Your kids were his biggest supporters and your 3 boys couldn't adore him more and they couldn't help but idolise they're father.

But your youngest, your daughter, was his number one fan and everyone around could see that.

Matt loved having boys, but his daughter was his light at the end of the tunnel, his true purpose in a way.

You loved looking at photographs of memories of when the kids were young and you would always find pictures of the pair together.

as the kids grew up you and Matt became even happier, which seemed impossible, you both had been on cloud nine since you met.

One of your favourite family memories was when your oldest boys, the twins, were graduating and before Matthews fathers passing, they held a massive family gathering for everyone.

it was almost bittersweet to look back on, but it was one of the best memories, everyone together just made the atmosphere so much more heartwarming.

All the family together for one last time. one last bang before the wave of sadness that was soon followed.

Another memory you and Matthew found fond to dwell on was the birth of your first grandchild.

The Sturniolo name continued on once again and for the first time in decades you seen Matt cry, happy tears though.

Matthew was a strong individual emotionally, you were always the emotional one in the marriage.

but Matt had his moments like many, you found that incredible about him. he was always so closed off but with you, you had a very special place in his heart.

You and Matts marriage had its boundaries and rules, but that's what made it work so incredibly well.

A rule you added as a joke but he did non the less was being you your morning breakfast cup of tea, with two sugars of course.

no matter how busy he was or how tired he was, he never missed a morning.

but recently he had no choice but to miss the morning tea making.

you sat in the chair next to his hospital bed, holding his hand, rubbing it gently, tears rolling down your face.

Your children were all in the room with you slowly waiting for the moment to crawl up.

"I love you Matthew. Thank you for everything." you spoke trying not to sob uncontrollably.

"Y/n, you have done so much for me that i don't even have the time to thank you for, but i Love you so much it physically pains me, that's how strong it is. Thank you for our children, thank you for my family, thank you for making me, me. you mean everything to me." he whispered, struggling to keep his breath, straining slightly.

"I love you so much." you cried more.

a doctor walked in just as Matt blew his last breath.

all you could do was hug him, hoping he could maybe still feel your presence.

you just sobbed.

your daughter hugged you so tight, crying just as much as you.

"i know how much he meant to you." she whispered.

and all you could do was cry harder.

your one true love had finally moved on.

Now all you had was the memories...
