Jealousy over Jungwon

Jungwon could feel the tension between Y/n and Sunghoon growing as they walked together to the bus stop. He had always been a shy and quiet boy, and the idea of being caught in the middle of a potential fight was making him feel even more uncomfortable.

Y/n, the popular girl at school, had never been particularly kind to Jungwon. In fact, she had been downright mean to him on more than one occasion. Sunghoon, on the other hand, was one of Jungwon's few friends. He was always there for Jungwon, even when Y/n and her friends were being cruel.

As they approached the bus stop, Jungwon could feel his heart racing with anxiety. He didn't want to be the cause of any conflict between Y/n and Sunghoon, but he didn't know how to diffuse the situation either.

Suddenly, Y/n turned to Jungwon with a smirk on her face. "You know, Jungwon, you really should choose your friends more wisely. Sunghoon here is nothing but trouble."

Sunghoon's eyes narrowed as he glared at Y/n. "You don't know anything about me," he retorted. "And you have no right to talk to Jungwon like that."

The tension between the two of them was palpable, and Jungwon felt like he was going to be sick. He didn't want to be caught in the middle of a fight, but he also didn't want to abandon his friend.

Just then, the bus pulled up to the stop, and Jungwon breathed a sigh of relief. He quickly climbed aboard, hoping that Y/n and Sunghoon wouldn't follow him onto the bus.

As he settled into his seat, Jungwon couldn't help but feel a sense of dread wash over him. He knew that the conflict between Y/n and Sunghoon wasn't going to go away anytime soon, and he wasn't sure how much longer he could handle being caught in the middle of it all.

{Time skip, in the bus}

Jungwon sighed as he climbed onto the bus, his eyes immediately scanning for an empty seat. He spotted a couple of seats in the middle of the bus, but before he could make his way there, he heard his name being called.

"Jungwon! Over here!" Sunghoon waved him over, motioning for him to join them at the back of the bus. Jungwon hesitated for a moment, but he knew he couldn't avoid them forever. He made his way to the back of the bus and slid into the seat next to Sunghoon.

Y/n was already sitting on the other side of Sunghoon, her eyes locked onto Jungwon's. Jungwon could feel himself shrinking under her gaze, her intense glare making him feel small and insignificant.

"Hey, Jungwon," Sunghoon greeted him with a smile, but Jungwon could tell that something was off. Sunghoon's eyes kept darting back and forth between him and Y/n, almost like he was nervous.

Jungwon tried to ignore them both, staring out the window as the bus made its way towards the school. But he couldn't help but overhear their argument.

"I saw him first, Y/n," Sunghoon said, his voice tense.

"But I'm better for him," Y/n shot back, her eyes still fixed on Jungwon. "He needs someone who can push him out of his shell."

Jungwon felt a knot form in his stomach. He didn't want either of them to "have" him. He just wanted to be left alone, to go to school and get through the day without any drama.

But it seemed like that was too much to ask for. The argument between Sunghoon and Y/n escalated, their voices getting louder and more heated by the second. Jungwon could feel the eyes of everyone on the bus turning towards them, watching as the drama unfolded in the back of the bus.

Jungwon closed his eyes, wishing he could just disappear. Why did he have to be the center of their attention? Why couldn't they just leave him alone?

As the bus pulled up to the school, Jungwon made a beeline for the door, eager to escape their clutches. He could hear Y/n and Sunghoon calling after him, but he didn't turn back. He just wanted to get through the day without any more drama.

Jungwon's heart was pounding in his chest as he ran through the halls of the school. He could still hear Y/n and Sunghoon's voices echoing behind him, arguing over who would get to hang out with him today. But he didn't want to be a part of their argument - he just wanted to blend into the background and disappear.

He ducked into the first empty classroom he saw and leaned against the door, trying to catch his breath. He could hear the sounds of the students in the hallways, chatting and laughing as they made their way to their classes. But for Jungwon, the noise was overwhelming. He didn't want to be here - he just wanted to go back home and hide in his room.

As he stood there, trying to gather his thoughts, he heard someone clear their throat behind him. Startled, he turned around to see his homeroom teacher, Ms. Lee, looking at him with concern.

"Jungwon, is everything okay?" she asked, her voice soft and gentle.

Jungwon shook his head, unable to form words. He felt like he was going to burst into tears at any moment.

Ms. Lee stepped closer and placed a hand on his shoulder. "It's okay," she said. "You're safe here. Do you want to talk about what's going on?"

Jungwon hesitated, but something in Ms. Lee's kind expression made him feel like he could trust her. He took a deep breath and told her everything - about Y/n and Sunghoon arguing over him, about how he didn't want to be a part of their fight, about how he just wanted to be invisible.

Ms. Lee listened patiently, nodding understandingly. "I see," she said. "It sounds like you're feeling overwhelmed right now. That's completely understandable. But I want you to know that you don't have to feel invisible. You're an important part of this school community, and we value you. If you ever need someone to talk to, I'm always here for you."

Jungwon felt a weight lift off his shoulders as he listened to Ms. Lee's words. He realized that he didn't have to let Y/n and Sunghoon's drama define him - he could make his own choices and be his own person. And with Ms. Lee's support, he knew he could do it.

{At the same time, with Y/n and Sunghoon}

Jungwon sat quietly in the classroom, his gaze fixed on his textbook as he tried to ignore the argument brewing between his friend Sunghoon and the notorious mean girl, Y/n. The two of them had been going back and forth for what felt like hours, each trying to prove their point about something or the other.

Sunghoon, ever the mischievous one, suddenly turned his attention to Y/n and started teasing her about her supposed crush on Jungwon. "Come on, Y/n, we all know you secretly like Jungwon," he said with a smirk, his eyes glinting with amusement.

Y/n bristled at the comment, her cheeks turning a shade of red that almost matched her fiery temper. "What are you talking about, Sunghoon? I don't like him!" she protested, but her voice sounded unconvincing even to her own ears.

Just then, Y/n's group of friends walked into the classroom, giggling and chattering amongst themselves. They caught sight of the trio and immediately joined in on the conversation. "Oh, we know you like him, Y/n! Don't try to deny it," one of them said, grinning mischievously.

Y/n scowled at them, feeling the heat rise in her cheeks. She hated being teased like this, especially when it came to matters of the heart. "I don't like him, okay? Can we just drop it already?" she snapped, crossing her arms over her chest.

Jungwon, who had been trying his best to remain invisible throughout the whole ordeal, suddenly spoke up. "It's okay, Y/n. I don't mind if you like me," he said softly, his eyes meeting hers for a brief moment before darting away again.

Y/n felt her heart skip a beat at his words, but she quickly brushed it off. "I don't like you, Jungwon. You're just a shy, boring boy," she retorted, trying to hide the fluttering in her chest.

Sunghoon chuckled at her words, but Jungwon just looked down at his textbook again, a small smile playing at his lips. He knew that Y/n was just putting up a front, and he couldn't help but feel a small sense of satisfaction at the thought that she might actually like him after all.
