When I met you

Chapter 1: Hello My Name is Freen

The school bell rang as Freen reached the entrance of her old high school and a flock of students scrambled out of the doors. Freen quickly went to the side so that she wouldn't be run over by students and waited for the flux of people to decrease in order for her to enter. Based her own memories, her besties usually hung around Kade's locker after school because her locker was located in the central area of the school. She hurried in hoping that her friendship hasn't changed in this alternate version of herself. 

"Hi! I am so glad to see you guys." Freen greeted her three besties when she saw the habits of of her three besties haven't changed. 

Three pairs of eyes turned and widen. 

"Hi..." Tee greeted back cautiously. 

Freen's face slowly changed to apprehensive as she came to the realization that her three besties might not know who she, or rather he was in this alternation universe. 

"Hello, my name is Freen" 

"We know" They all said simultaneously. 

"What we don't understand is why?" Asked Kade. 

"Um...because nothing. Just wanted to say hello" Freen replied awkwardly. She slowly turned and walked in the general direction of the gym. Deep in to her thoughts, she was sadden that obviously this male Freen did not have the same close friendship female Freen had during high school.  

"That was so weird" Jim whispered once Freen was out of ear shot.  

"Totally. I knew him since grade 8 and I can count on one hand how many times we have had talked." 

"Ohhh do you think he likes one of us. It must be me" giggled Kade.  Jim playfully swatted Kade while Tee just rolled her eyes. 

"Maybe it is because we're close to his locker and he wanted us to get out of the way" 

"No way, if he did, he would have said Hello and move. He has always be an odd one. Popular and not popular at the same time. You know what I mean?" Nam said.

"Sort of. Freen doesn't seek out attention and don't really have a friend group but everybody want his attention. Be his friend. He's not unfriendly or a bully but he also won't approach you. That three second interaction was definitely weird." 

"Are you ready Kade? Let's go to my place to hang out" Jim asked, She was ready to forget about the weird interaction with Freen and wanted to have fun with her friends. The three girls left and chatted happily amongst themselves. 

****** Freen at the changing room getting ready for basketball practice***** 

Thinking deeply in to her own thoughts, Freen was still sad and missed her three friends. She wondered who were male Freen's friends and what was he/she like before she took over.  As she was changing her attire for basketball, she joked with herself that BFF will be an acronym for Before Female Freen era like BC Before Christ. 

Gasp 

Freen in the middle of changing into her shorts when she heard a gasp behind her. With one leg in the pair of shorts, Freen hopped on one leg and turned around to see who was the owner of that gasp. 

Standing by the changing room entrance was a girl with long amber hair staring with her eyes bugged out and mouth opened. The girl stared at Freen and alternately glanced at the entrance of the changing room. Freen finally realized that she had accidentally gone to the girls changing room instead of the boys and he was down to his underwear with shorts on one leg and hopping on another. 

"Ah... Ah. This isn't what it looks like. Honest mistake! I went to the wrong changing room....please don't scream." Freen hastily to explain and pull up her shorts but jumping on one leg just made it worse and she fell. Luckily, the girl just quickly turned around and left without saying a word.
