FOUR YEARS LATER...

THIRD PERSON'S POV
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA
12TH JANUARY, 2023

"Princess! Princess! Let's go!" The four year old was decked up in a white long sleeved shirt, tucked into a black mid thigh length skirt with black panty hoes, black loafers and a small black beret over her black silky hair that was packed in a tight bun.

Sabrina strolled downstairs adorned in a cream maxi dress with a white oversized black leather jacket over it and cream vans, sheathing her feet. She wore her usual face mask and shades with cream gloves. She held her daughter's lunchbox on her shoulder.

"Say, Mommy." Sabrina uttered audibly but the little girl in front of her frowned then shook her head.

"Princess!" She repeated.

"Mo-mmy."

"Prin-cess!" Safreen shouted out this time around.

Sabrina shook her head taking a deep breath in then out. She sighed, fixing Safreen's shirt and beret. "You're more stubborn than your father." She murmured underneath her breath.

"My princess!" She called out once more with a huge grin beautifying her angelic face. She's been referring to Sabrina as Princess since when she starting talking. At first, she used to call her Khaleed all because of Coach. Coach then deviated from calling her Khaleed in Safreen's presence. Times when Coach would lay her down to sleep at night, she'd tell her bedtime stories about all the wonderful things her mother have done in her life. Despite the fact that she interchanged Sabrina with Princess, Safreen always believed that her mother was the princess from those stories.

Sabrina denied it, but Coach didn't. Instead, she encouraged her to call her that.

Reminiscing some good old memories from the past, she shrugged it off. "Yes, my Safreen." She responded with a warm smile plastered on her face.

Safreen pulled her hands with her own tiny ones. "I'm going to be late for school!" She whined.

"You know I used to hate school when I was your age." Sabrina chuckled sincerely. She hated school with her all that her sisters would struggle with her before she wears her uniform and eat breakfast in the morning.

They exited the house with their hands entwined as they approached the bus stop.

"But that is bad, Princess." Safreen exclaimed.

"I was a bad student, really really bad one." She dawned back to her old high school days. Breaking rules like that's all that matters, to her and her friends, it was. She'd do anything to go back to relive those wonderful memories all over again.

Safreen's palms flew to her mouth flabbergasted by her mother's bluntness. "Noo!"

"Yes, Safreen." Sabrina burst out laughing. The girl was her source of happiness for four years straight. Her expressions and dramatic nature always turns up her mood no matter how down she is.

They got on the bus and headed straight to the back seat where they originally sat every morning to have a perfect view of the beautiful city. Sabrina made sure Safreen falls in love with Los Angeles even more than she did. It was an alluring and captivating city no doubt there.

"Can you and Coach come pick me up today?" Safreen begged with puppy eyes. Sabrina sighed knowing exactly where the little girl was heading to.

"Safreen, Coach is busy with work today. Maybe some other time." She placed a kiss on her forehead but the little girl still wasn't gratified one bit.
