"I'm... annoying..?"

Part 3: "I'm fine."

Tsukasa waved as Rui left from the front door. The door closed and Tsukasa sighed in relief.

They didn't ditch me.

They didn't ditch me?

That's a lie. They were laughing and talking. Why would Rui come to apologize? I never said anything about them ditching me.

Tsukasa covered his face with his hands.

Why are they lying to me?

Tsukasa sat there for a minute.

He removed his hands and looked up at the ceiling. Suddenly, he felt tired. Really tired. He didn't want to move. He lay on the couch. Staring at the dark Tv.

He tried to keep his eyes open, but they felt too heavy. Maybe the coffee had done the complete opposite of its purpose. Tsukasa gave in and closed his eyes, falling asleep in seconds.

"If you're going to fall asleep on the couch, at least put your coat up!" A voice shouted.

Tsukasa sat up and rubbed his eyes.

"Huh?" He looked up to see Sakj standing over him holding a black coat that was still a little wet. "Sorry," Tsukasa apologized while taking the coat from her hands.

Tsukasa got up and slowly headed to his room to put his coat up.

"You're not even going to say good morning? How cruel," Saki sighed dramatically.

Tsukasa stopped and looked at her, "Sorry. Good morning. " He continued to walk upstairs after.

"I was kidding!"

Tsukasa went to his closet and realized,  he didn't go out last night after school. He took a closer look at "his" coat.

Wasn't it Rui that was wearing this?

If he remembered clearly, yes, yes it was. Had Rui forgotten it? Yes, according to Tsukasa's calculations.

He quickly put one of his actual coats on and grabbed an umbrella.

He left his house and rode his bike to Rui's house so he could give Rui his coat back.

It was hard to hold the umbrella while riding on the rain, but Tsukasa managed to do it. He is a star, you know.

He was out of breath, but Tsukasa finally made it to Rui's house.

Tsukasa was happy even though he was just returning a coat.

He walked up the stairs. and was about to knock when he saw something through the window.

On the couch sat Nene and Emu laughing.

Maybe he went to the wrong house?

I mean, Rui does live right next to her.

Tsukasa looked around to confirm his suspicion.

He was wrong.

This was in fact Rui's house.

The house number was the same, the car was the same, and Rui was even going up the stairs.

They're having fun.

Without me.

Tsukasa felt his face get wet.

The rain?

Tsukasa raised his hand to his face.

No, I'm under the porch roof. Could they be...

He wiped the wetness off his face with his sleeve.

Tears?

Tsukasa tried his best to wipe it away, but they kept coming.

Tsukasa wouldn't be able to face Rui or anyone else like this.

No. I'm fine.

I'm not sad.

I'm fine.

He reached into his pocket and felt a pen and paper.

Oh yeah, I was working on this. He thought while staring at the page.

Tsukasa put the paper on the wall and wrote, "You left your coat."

He set Rui's coat on the mat in front of the door, where he could only place it without it getting soaked, and set the paper on top of it.

Then, he got back on his bike and left.

Bro I have to change up my little ending note because I was supposed to post this yesterday but when I came to work on part 4 this was still a draft and I was like bro I POSTED IT YESTERDAY 😭 Anyways, I hope you liked it.
