A/N: Gonna be using anime terms from now on, like from Diabolos Cult into Diablos Cult, Begarta into Velgalta, and the name of that sick hateable guy from the manga into Perv Asshat (Yeah, I can't wait to show you what I have in store for what Cadian will do to Perv Asshat)

(Third Person POV)

"...hm?" The scent of pine and the soft rustling of leaves greeted Cadian as he slowly awoke amidst the lush expanse of the forest. The memory of the sacramental grounds, now reduced to ash, lingered in the recesses of his mind. It was a surreal transition from the darkness he had faced to the tranquility that surrounded him. "Must've blanked out for a bit after the implosion."

As Cadian rose to his feet, he found himself standing in a serene grove, bathed in the dappled sunlight filtering through the thick canopy overhead. The gentle breeze whispered through the foliage, carrying with it a sense of peace that resonated with his very core. He closed his eyes, reveling in the quietude, the sweet symphony of nature enveloping him.

"...what a lovely scene."

The serenity of the forest struck a chord within him, a reminder of the ultimate goal that fueled his every action. Quelling the forces of evil, vanquishing the darkness that plagued the land, becoming his ideal hero – it was all for this moment, a world where everyone could revel in the same peace he now felt.

Cadian's gaze drifted to the swaying branches and the vibrant hues of green that adorned the landscape. The profound sense of purpose that had guided him through the trials of Lindwurm now resonated even more strongly. He couldn't help but smile, envisioning a future where the echoes of conflict would be replaced by the harmonious melodies of nature.

"Wait, where's Cid?" A thought flickered in his mind, wondering where Cid and Aurora had ventured off to after the destruction of Lindwurm. "Bah, who cares." However, Cadian dismissed the concern with a sense of trust. He knew Cid, it was useless caring for his well-being.

With a deep breath, Cadian took a moment to savor the tranquility of the forest, the crisp air filling his lungs. He felt a renewed vigor, a determination to continue his quest. Lindwurm was just one step, and there was still much to be done. Yet, in the midst of the greenery and the whispering leaves, he found solace.

"I better head back." Turning away from the forest's heart, Cadian made his way toward the edge, guided by the play of sunlight through the branches.

*voices*

As he did so, he caught wind of hushed voices drifting from his left. Intrigued, he followed the sound until he stumbled upon a clearing where Alexia, Rose, and Natsume stood in a small circle, hands joined, deep in conversation. The sunlight filtered through the trees, casting a warm glow upon the scene.

"Wow, that was fast." He thought the situation funny, not expecting to see the three right away.

The trio's heads snapped toward Cadian as he approached, a reflex born of the countless dangers they had faced. Defensive stances softened into surprise as recognition set in.

"W-Wait! It's me!" He waved frantically.

Cadian's arrival prompted a cautious lowering of hands, and the trio exchanged glances, silently assessing the unexpected visitor.

"L-Lord Cadian?" Alex uttered, slowly realizing that it really was him.

Before Cadian could utter a word, he found himself pulled into a tight embrace by Rose. Her eyes sparkled with relief, and her voice bubbled with genuine joy. "Cadian! You're safe! We were so worried!" she exclaimed, holding him at arm's length to look him over as if ensuring he was whole.
