Chapter 25 - secret

I sat in her office scrolling trough my phone,
While she left to go see a patient,
I had to admit she was a bit off today, like her thoughts were somewhere else.
I was taken out of my thoughts by her phone buzzing,
I lean forward looking at he phone seeing it was a message from Alex.

(Message)
Have you told Neymar?
Time is running out, if you don't tell him I will.

My heart literally felt like it dropped to my stomach,
Wondering what the hell Alex is taking about,
And why was he even messaging her?
Is that why she was acting so weird today?

"Their is never a dull day when you're a doctor,"
Bella said coming back into the office washing her hands.

"Tell me about it,"
I said pointing to her phone.
She frown walking towards the the desk looking at her phone.
Her expression on her face instantly changed as she raised her head looking at me.

Bella POV

My entire body froze as I looked at him,
Not knowing what to say, but one thing I know for sure is that I can't let Alex tell him the truth,
He can't tell him about my family,
He can't know I'm the daughter off the most powerful mafia leader in Spain.

"Are you going to explain anything to me Bella?"
He asked looking at me.
I placed my phone on the counter barely able to take a deep breath.
thinking about how to tell him we can't be together, I have to end things with the person who is the reason to my happiness.
I opened my mouth to speak but I couldn't,
I couldn't bring myself to tell him,
my body wouldn't let me,
actually my heart wouldn't let me because I care for him deeply.

"Your not going to say anything aren't you?"
"Well fine I'll just asked Alex, because he said in the message if you won't tell me he will."
Neymar said getting up storming out off my office.
I snapped out off my frozen state running after him,
But I was stopped by one off the doctors telling me they needed me urgently.

Neymar POV

I walked out off the hospital not even sure where I was going or how I am going to get to the hotel.
I didn't even have my wallet with me to pay for a cab.
I took my phone out about to dial Kyle number when I recognize one off the doctors who works with the team.
I walked over to him asking him for a ride to the hotel.
During the car ride to the hotel I couldn't helped but wonder what was it that Bella is so scared off telling me and why is Alex so determined that she tells me.
What secret do they have?
I'm sure he is trying to frame her or something.
I got out off the car thanking the guy for the ride then making my way up to Alex's suite.
I walked to his door pounding it repeatedly until he opened it.

"Neymar jr."
"To what do I owe the pleasure for your visitation."
He said looking at me grinning.

"What are you forcing her to tell me that she is so scared she can't even speak when I asked about it?"
I asked looking at him.

"I think it's best you here it from her,"
He said pointing behind me,
I turned seeing Bella walking towards us looking out off breath like she was chasing after me.

"Are you going to tell him Bella?"
Alex said looking at her smiling as she took a step towards us.

"We have decided to get back together."
She said looking at the floor, her voice trembling as she spoke.

"Bullshit you don't mean that,"
"I don't believe you."
"He is holding something against you I know it,"
"What ever it is, what secret you have I don't care Bella."
"We can get trough it together."
"Just don't let this asshole manipulate you."
I said pleading with her.

"I'm sorry Neymar."
"I have already made my decision."
She said wiping a tear away from her eye not even looking at me.
I turned my attention back to Alex who still have that annoying smile on his face.
He was about to say something when I swung my fist hitting him straight in the face dropping him on the floor.
I turned walking towards Bella putting my hands on her face making her look at me.

"I know he has something against you,"
"And I'm pissed at you for letting that come between us,"
"You are weak for giving up on us so easily."
I said looking at her.

"I'm doing this because I care about you to much Neymar."
"I don't want you to get hurt."
She said.

"Nothing is more hurtful than what you just did to me Bella."
I said letting go off her walking away.

Bella POV

"Are you happy now!"
I said looking at Alex in anger as he clutch his bloody nose getting up off the floor.
I had to admit seeing Neymar punch him was very satisfying.

"I'll hate you to the fucking day I die for doing this to me."
I spat at Alex before walking away.

"You'll get over it."
He shouted back at me.

I got to my floor walking towards my room,
I walked passed Neymar door remembering what he told me earlier about what ever secret I have he doesn't care, we can get trough it together.
But my secret isn't something normal.
My family burden is something that will live with me for the rest off my life,
What will people say if they found out Neymar is dating the daughter off a criminal,
He will probably loose his contract with PSG for being involved with me.
As much as it hurts me, I know Neymar is better off without me in his life.
I'm nothing but poison to him.
