After a surprisingly delicious dinner the girls were in the yard getting some fresh air

"Hm...What if we have a sleepover?" Mirabel looked at them hopefully

"Yes!" Luisa gave her a toothy grin while playing with a grasshopper on the grass

"You guys have sleepovers?" Elena glanced in her direction

Luisa nodded enthusiastically "We love having sleepovers"

"I've never had a sleepover"

"You've never had a-" Luisa stopped and smiled "Well now it's a must to have a sleepover"

"Doesn't it count as a sleepover every single night for them?" Dolores pointed at Isabela and Elena

"A sleepover is not just sleeping in with a friend " Mirabel chuckled "We have to show Elena what a real sleepover is"

"Yeah I'm sure that Elena and Isabela will enjoy doing more than just sleeping at night " Luisa smiled not realizing how those words sounded if taken out of context

Mirabel started coughing to mask her laughter her oldest sister was a blushing mess

"Alright then we'll have a sleepover, how about tomorrow?" Dolores proposed "I need to go to bed early today"

"Okay, that way we have time to prepare the good stuff"

"Like make some snacks for the night" Luisa grinned already busy thinking of the activities for tomorrow

"I think it'd be fun if this time we do it in the living room" Mirabel offered

They kept discussing ideas and making plans for the sleepover until powerful wind followed by gloomy clouds chased the girls away

They all rushed inside and decided to leave the scheming for the morning as yawns and tired eyes overthrew them.

Once in her room Isabela sat on the bed while Elena looked through the armoire for her night gown

"I'm going to go shower" Elena glanced at Isabela with ease

"Sounds good" She smiled and gave her a playful salute

"And when I'm done...Will you tell me one of your stories?"

"They bore you to sleep right?" Isabela laughed lightheartedly

"No! I deeply enjoy them" Her smile was sincere

"Okay, but if I hear you snoring on the first one I'll tickle you awake"

"Deal" Elena chuckled before heading out the door

As she was walking towards the bathroom some hushed voices got her attention, they were coming from downstairs.

She stopped dead in her tracks as she heard footsteps

"A sleepover...Do you really think that's a good idea?" Dolores spoke rapidly

"Why wouldn't it?" Mirabel sounded annoyed

"Well...What are we going to talk about?"

There was a long pause and Dolores scoffed

"We can start by talking about boys...How about -hey Elena Isabela is in love with your boyfriend"

Mirabel didn't respond

"Mirabel...I just feel bad for Elena, okay? The more time we spend together the more it makes me feel guilty"

Elena's heart fell as she listened in, without making a sound she ran to the bathroom and closed the door.

She couldn't quite process what she had just learned. It was so sudden as it was heavy to bare.
