Chapter 23: Lurking in the shadows I [Adumfor Arc I]

Sila then goes to the balcony and jumps off it. Elijah finds it weird how Sila knows Rein, what the hell did actually happen by Rein moving in. Pandora has better GDP & Economy, it was weird. Elijah then got off the bed and changed his clothes, washed his teeth and went out of his hotel room, heading downstairs to the lobby and going outside.

Meanwhile with Elaina & Vlad, they were patrolling around the other city, Via Rosa De. They were looking for any clues or trails for the anti-hero on the island. Elaina was drinking soda while Vlad was eating a sandwich. Both of them looked around the city and asked the residents there for any information. More minutes have passed, no new information. Both Elaina & Vlad then find a bench and sit on it.

Elaina breaths in and out.

Elaina: No clues, seems like that anti-hero is a smart one...

Vlad: Obviously, they change their tactics.

Elaina: Change? jee didn't know Mr. Butterfingers.

Vlad looks at Elaina.

Vlad: Says you, horny.

Vlad looked away as he noticed someone entering the forest, that someone had a hood on and some drinks. Vlad stood up and followed em, leaving Elaina alone.

As Vlad enters the forest, he use the trees, bushes & shadows as cover to follow that person. He follows them for an hour, seeing them enter a cave deep in the forest. Vlad stayed low and looked at the cave thinking for a bit. Vlad pulled out his phone, however he had no signal which leads to him of changing the plans as he put his phone away. Vlad walks off and starts going back to the town, knowing Elaina will get sick worried.

Vlad arrives back and notices Elaina eating his chicken nuggets, but he ignores that and walks back and sits next to her.

Elaina: Oh, you came back?

Vlad looked at her.

Vlad: Yeah I did... So listen. I found the anti-hero.

Elaina stops eating and looked at Vlad with a surprised look.

Elaina: R-Really?

Vlad: I'm pretty sure it was them, they entered the forest and I followed em through a couple of paths leading to a cave deep in the forest.

Elaina: Oh my god... What now?

Vlad looked away and started to think as Elaina pulled out her phone and calls someone. As Elaina waited, the person they called finally answers.

Elaina: Ohayou, friend. Listen we found an anti-hero on the island, can you come here?

???: S-Sure... I'll be where you at...

Elaina: Btw, I'm in that one area with my *whispers the name so nobody besides me & my friend hears it* around the block.

???: Oh, ok. I'm on m-my way...

Elaina hangs up and she puts her phone away. Couple minutes passed and both Elaina & Vlad were talking about Vlad's 3rd year in school. The conversation leads to explaining the entrance patrol exam.

Elaina then pulls out documents & FAQs and shows em to Vlad.
