If your like me and love to write a lot and have heard of Nanowrimo (National writing month) maybe this month is your month to get some words down! However, maybe you were kinda prepared for Nano this year, but if your like me, maybe you're stuck right now. I have just hit over 100k words but I feel as if my book isn't getting anywhere. Well, in this post I'll be giving some tips on how to prepare better for Nano and remember it's never too late to plan some more!
Schedule ahead of time! For example, Schedule what times of the day would be best for you to write. For example, I'm free after school (around 3 pm) and early in the morning at 5 am!
Outline the story before even attempting Nanowrimo! If you're not a plotter that's fine but at least have some sort of idea of your book
Filter out notes. If you're like me then you might have more random notes about your novel. Keep the ones that help and throw out the useless ones!
Do NOT get distracted. This is your time to shine and show the world your book (even though you still have to write it). Don't waste time.
Create a nice work space. For example, my workspace has a candle, some books, and the list could go on and on but it's comfortable for me
Create a word count and try to hit that daily! For me, My word count goal is 2k a day because I have the time to get it done and also I'd like to finish early!
I hope this help! And happy writing!
(Also I will not be posting a lot now because of Nanowrimo and some other personal things, but I will post maybe every two weeks!)
