Bob.

Call sign number two

Sadly unlike the rest of the team who was slowly earning their call signs, Bob was the only one that no one really noticed.

He was only acknowledged by the other aviators if Lucia was around.

Not like it bothered him.

Bob liked being secluded and invisible from everyone who wasn't close to him.

Of course, Lucia had plenty of names for him that could be fit as a call sign.

But how do you choose just one of them?

"Hey, Bob, how we doin' on time?" Lucia asks as they were in the middle of a new timed test.

"We need to speed up!" He calls to her.

Lucia nods, pushing on her throttle.

"Tally! Tally! Hannibal on our tail!"

"I'll shake her,"

Lucia turns sharply, slicing the air with the wings of their jet.

Bob watches the radar, looking for their Admiral.

Her jet disappears off the radar.

"Shit!"

"Where is she, Bob? Do you have eyes on her?" asks their wingman, Taco.

Taco got her call sign due to her last name.

Johanna "Taco" Bell.

She wasn't the only one who had a call sign relating to food.

There was also

Mackenzie (Mack) "Cheese," Smith.

Preston "Soup" Campbell.

And, everyone's favorite

Mark "Sour" Dough

The call sign was given to him due to the funny play on words.

But also because he was a sour puss when he was cranky.

Which was almost every day.

One thing about Aviators and assigning call signs is that they love food.

You're most likely going to get your call sign given to you because of food, your appearance, the way you fly, or any embarrassing moments.

Good luck.

"Break left! Break left!" Bob says into the headset.

"Breaking left!"

Bob, being short for Robert, ended up sticking with everyone throughout the program.

There really wasn't anything creative they could think of for Bob.

Basing it off his appearance would have been smart, but "Glasses" and "Four Eyes" were already taken.
