Vienna's POV

"Um. Ahem" I cleared my throat as I felt Ryan's hand on my thigh.

"What's wrong? Vienna. Are you alright?" Samantha, who was sitting beside me, asked.

"Yeah I'm good" I replied quickly with a small smile and focused back on the pancakes on my plate.

"Ryan. Stop it" I whispered to him as he caressed my thigh up and down.

"Why? Still feeling hot from this morning" He replied in a whisper as I couldn't help but roll my eyes, trying to hide my blush by acting all cool.

"Don't" I mumbled slapping his hand away.

"What are you thinking?" I asked a moment later as I found him smiling to himself.

"It's just funny how we both lost the bet within an hour or two probably" He replied taking a sip of his coffee.

"Ah. Ah. Don't say 'we'...because it's only you who lost the bet, remember our bet was about who'll give up first and if I remember correctly it was you who initiated the kiss" I said with smug all over my face.

"Don't sound too proud, my love, because if I remember correctly you responded to that kiss with equal passion which makes you equally responsible" He replied.

"I just didn't want to hurt your pride" I said with a cheeky smile as he just raised an eyebrow while letting out a surprised chuckle.

"What are you guys arguing about?" Grace asked snapping us back to reality where we were sitting in a room full of people.

"That was definitely not an argument, mum" Ryan replied.

"Good then, I suggest we all start preparing for the wedding from today itself as we have very little time left" She said.

"What if we keep this wedding like three four months from now" David suggested with a serious face on but I knew he was just messing with Ryan.

"Och!" He exclaimed in pain as I couldn't help but chuckle, I'm pretty sure Ryan kicked him under the table.

"I guess we'll just have to stick to the original date..." David added.

"Yeah it seems like someone can't wait" Samantha said teasingly.

"Anyways. I know some of the best wedding planners in town, I'll get in touch with them" David said.

"Yeah they'll handle everything like venue and all" Landon said.

"Why don't we get married at your family's place? Ryan" I suggested something that has been on my mind since quite a while now.

"I mean the backyard is huge...so why do we need another venue" I added with a slight shrug.

"That's actually a good idea" Ryan replied.

"But will it be enough for our guests?" Grace asked.

"Actually, mum, Vienna and I want a small wedding, with just close family and friends, so I don't think space will be a problem" Ryan replied as Grace just nodded her head.

"Alright then..." She paused looking at me.

"Vienna, sweetheart, there's this charity function that I need to attend this evening so I'll have to leave now but I'll come back tomorrow and do call me if you need anything" She continued before leaving, after saying goodbye to everyone.

"Love, I need to leave too. I haven't been able to focus on work lately, so I won't be home until late night..." Ryan paused getting off his chair.

"Don't wait up for me" He continued before kissing my forehead as I smiled.
