THOUGHTFUL.

Five and I sat casually, watching over his unconscious brother as he was still spread out on the floor.

"Those kids . . . twins you saw, what did they look like?"

"Ah. Me, they looked like me." Five grinned, tilting his head to look me in the eyes, I scoffed, my eyes tracing over his face.

Guess our children don't look too bad then.

Little Five's . . .

I softly giggled in thought. I then closed my eyes, sipping the last bit of liquid that had still remained,

"I wonder if they harvested our powers . . . y'know, inherited them?"

"I don't know. I doubt that, though." Five speculated, his eyes to the ground as he had a furrowed brow. I smiled,

"Well, that doesn't matter. It's just a lovely thought to know in some alternative universe they exist, running around and becoming a part of society."

Five only hummed in reply, his eyes settled on his brother as Diego began to squirm among the many broken shards of glass. I set my empty margarita glass down to see the man slowly lift his head, bringing him self back into the conscious world.

He grunted softly,

"Shit." he muttered out, holding his head as he now sat up, staring at the two of us who were seated on the bar stools.

I held my legs crossed as I stared the man down, he seemed confused to say the least.

"Ready for a drink now?" Five asked in a neverminded tone, Diego cradled his head for a moment before he abruptly sprang to his feet and rapidly flung his head side to side to look around.

"Where is he?"

"You want the honest answer or the better answer?" I asked with a grin, knowing the better answer would be to tell him we've captured poor Hazel to ease Diego's thoughts, Five placed his hand on my shoulder, my grin faltered.

"I . . . we let him go." Five honestly said, side-eyeing me briefly,

"You . . . you two what?"

"Now that the apocalypse is over, it's time for the fighting to stop." Five reasonably said, dropping hand from my shoulder to now set it in his lap.

Diego only stared at us before he reluctantly stepped to the side, picking up his knife on the ground angrily,

"Hey, he didn't kill Patch. His partner Cha-Cha did." Five mentioned, with an absent mind I nodded at his words.

"So what?"

"So he's off the hook!" I yelled back at Diego, my brows raised in reason, he scoffed,

"They were both there that night . . . "

"This half of the partnership gave me both of their guns. Which will clear you, because the ballistics will match Patch's crime scene." Five explained, briefly looking at the firearms laid behind him upon the surface of the bar table.

I quietly sighed, my eyes drifting away from the two as I stood up, planning to walk away yet I stayed for a moment. Idly listening in.

Diego stepped closer to us,

"Hazel came here looking for a way out. He wanted a fresh start. And he happened to have in his possession the one thing that could do our family a little good." Five concluded, Diego now standing before him as he glared at his brother as he spoke.

I slowly turned to the side, softly walking away,

Just gotta . . . sneak away.

"So it's time to move on."

"Not a chance." their voices trailed off, I now stood near the staircase, admiring the paintings and portraits that were hung there with slight awe.

My fingertips grazed the image of a little Five, I smiled.

"Suit yourself." I heard a muffled voice say from the room I left, that of Five's.

"I am curious. Your girlfriend, Patch. What did you like about her?" Five asked Diego from afar, I lowered my hand as my ears perked a bit of interest, focusing my eyes on the children's faces as I could remember seeing them all on tv vividly.

Just like it was yesterday.

Fuck . . . I remember the first time I saw these kids . . . on the newspaper was it? Now they're all grownup.

I sighed, remembering how my brother commented on how odd it was to see me of all people touching a newspaper. I scoffed with a smile.

Wonder what those two are up to. Willis said he has a daughter . . . didn't he? She apparently has the same name as I for some form of a tribute hence my disappearance.

"A lot of things. Cute butt. Nice legs." I grimaced at the sound of Diego's answer, the disgust stinging my mind like a needle would prick my skull.

Glad I'm not in that room.

"Anything a little more profound than that?"

"She believed in people. No matter how much shit and filthy she saw on the streets. She always saw the good side." Diego said over a singular pause of silence. I blinked, a bit of silence brewing from within me.

Believed in people? That wouldn't be me . . . No, not me. I think it's useless, worthless even to believe in something so unpredictable like a human. Though that could be said about many things, prehaps God even . . . I mean, sure valid or whatever but . . . has anyone considered that God simply does not believe in you? Humanity?

What am I saying . . . Hope, hope is very important. Without an ounce of hope nothing truly good would've came out of this land we call home, perhaps believing is what keeps us alive, hopeful, obviously.

"What about . . . Y/N? What do you like about her?" I lifted my head slightly at the mention of my name, ripping me completely out of my thoughts, I felt my eyes widen as I intently listened.

"She . . . she's caring, thoughtful. She always analyzes a situation and whatnot. She finds so many hidden details and thoughts on an object I wouldn't even have ever thought about. She's just interesting, intriguing to me even.

I love her."

I smiled brightly, my lip quivering as I felt my body lower towards the stairs, sitting on it as I held my head.

I felt like a kid in high school, like they call it?

I covered my mouth with the palm of my hand, flushed.

He loves me. He really does.

". . . Well I'm sure she'll be proud to know you're killing Hazel and Cha-Cha as a way to honor her memory." Five added soon after, the steps of his feet quickly echoing from afar to indicate that he was coming my way, I stood up and hurriedly walked upstairs with a subtle smile still plastered on my young face.
