SHRAPNEL.

╚══ஓ๑♡๑ஓ══╝

"We should've taken him to the hospital!"

"A kid with a shrapnel wound might raise some questions."

"Yeah, well, so does the murder shrine in Harold Jenkins' attic."

"Yeah, Yeah, that's bad-- But let's just focus on this first!" I inquired simply as the duo set Five down on the couch, I went ahead and sat by the end where his feet were laid.

At this point I wasn't crying anymore, I was just concerned. But further more things were okay.

I knew he was okay.

He's Five after all . . .

Who am I fucking kidding.

I let my head fall into my palms as I listen to Allison and Diego's speech, my head getting bombarded by the worst case scenarios even though I was perfectly aware that this was fine.

"He's still losing blood. What do we do?"

"We gotta get the shrapnel out."

I peeked through my fingers to see Diego look off in the hallways, his attention elsewhere. My hands fall to my lap as I observed his following actions, he quietly walks into the grand hall, leaving the situation of Five behind.

He was walking towards the Umbrella Academy's Mother.

"Diego, where are you going?" Allison calls out as she knelt beside Five, seemingly not knowing what to do.

"Mom?" he said off in the distance, talking to his kin.

I frowned as I looked over at Five again,

He'll be fine.

--

I sat on a wooden chair, watching Grace tend to Five's wound as Allison and Diego stood behind me at the doorway of the room, watching as well.

Five laid unconsciously as the frail woman calmly cleaned up his wound.

"Anything?" Diego starts from behind me, perking my interest as I began to listen to his and Allison's conversation again.

"There's no answer at Vanya's place. And the receptionist at her music school said she was a no-show for her lessons today." Allison explained, after that . . .

Radio silence.

I took the impression that Diego had left the conversation,

"Hey, you okay?" Allison started again, directing this at her brother.

"Yeah. I don't know, it's just surreal to see her." Diego softly muttered.
