WORRY.

2027, Apocalypse

"Five . . . Five, are you awake . . . ?" I spoke in a hushed tone, shaking my husband who murmured nonsense as he had a myriad of sweaty droplets running down his tired face.

Not again . . .

"Five . . . Five!" I yelled in a whisper, shaking him more rough as I shoke him before as I now sat up right.

My frown was evident as I was clearly worried.

He instantly sat up, his eyes darting everywhere around the area as he violently breathed in and out hastily. He let his head fall into his hands, now holding it as my face became painted with nothing but worry.

His breath faltered, he took a sharp breath before an odd sound escaped his lips, them trembling slightly for just a moment . . .

He sobbed.

I hesitate for a moment . . . slowly putting my arms over his shoulders as I pulled him into my chest, he held me tightly as we swayed with one another, I shushed him as he cried into my clothing.

This shouldn't happen to you.

We were just kids.

"Is there anything I should do . . . to make you better?" I softly suggested, moving a loose piece of hair out of his wet stained face. He nodded simply, looking up into my eyes, huffing.

"Y/N . . . Tell me a story, Y/N." he breathed out, his voice cracking at the slightest. My lips turned up into a soft friendly smile.

He was immensely upset . . . and I was too afraid to ask . . .

What's wrong . . .

Last time I questioned this . . . It went sideways.

Completely wrong.

"Me too. But what if the old man really knew it was going to happen?" Five questioned, I myself pondered this thought for a moment . . .

There was literally no way he could've known.

. . . It's all a conspiracy.

Isn't it?

Klaus slightly shook his head as he pulled a remotely colorful shirt out for under his bed, sniffing it as he grimaced at the smell.

I briefly eyed him in pure disgust.

"Yeah, but knew how?"

"No idea. But the fact remains, his fakakta plan worked. We all came home."

Suspicious.

Even Five is here. Could that be nothing more than a mere coincidence?

"We're here." I whispered with my brows stitched to one another, looking at quite nothing as I thought a little longer.

"We might as well save the world." Five concluded, glancing over to my dazed state for a moment.

Klaus grinned at us as he pulled the shirt over his head, this making me more confused than I already was before.

"Oh yeah? What like the three of us?"

"Uh, well, ideally, no, but . . ." I lightly hit Five's arm at this, pulling an agitated look as he winched, scowling at me as he rubbed his arm and looked up at Klaus again,

". . . gotta work with what I got." he finished, glancing at me before he yanked my wrist towards him, leading Klaus and I out of the room we occupied.

Suddenly my eyes quickly darted from my wrist to Diego who came rushing down the hall, throwing his jacket on the floor as he did so.

I tilted my head at his livid nature, he bolted into his room without a single word nor glance at us.

Oh . . .

That's right.

He's been in jail . . . and I . . . got away.

I felt my face drop at my own realization. I do hope he is not furious with me or anything. Haha.

"Where have you been?"

"Jail." Diego loudly uttered back, I felt a nervous smile crawling onto my face, no one could notice it, though.

"Long story. Where's Y/N? I lost her . . . " Diego shamefully asked, his voice cracking at the end. My face instantly dropped.

He didn't see me standing here.

He must've been so worried . . .

"She's fine, she's right here." Five replied for me, we briefly shared a glance before Five cleared his throat, knowing there was more to be said than just that for Diego had bolted through the hallway in a haste.

From the room Diego was currently in we could all hear a relieved sigh escape his lips, I smiled unintentionally at that.

"Where's Luther?"

"Haven't seen him since breakfast." Five declared with a stern tone, his grip getting tighter on my wrist as I winced.

He's angry.

"Yeah. Two days until the world ends. he picks a great time to drop iff the grid." Klaus mentioned, Diego stepped out infront of us, putting away his knives in the destined corners and spaces of his belt that slung over his shoulder.

"Shit." Diego muttered, looking at all of us with a expression that was quite hard to read,

"Allison is in danger."

In front of me I could witness Five and Klaus immediately sharing a look with one another, looking back at Diego with faces of bewilderment and confusion.

I looked to the floor in worry. What could've possibly happened to her? I should've went along with her instead of Diego . . .

I hope that woman, Allison, is okay.

She's quite alright . . .
