The Plan

Kai's POV

"I dare you to kiss Skylor." My sister says with a large grin.

My face immediately gets crimson red.

Skylor doesn't like me that way! It's gonna be so awkward!

What if it ruins our friendship entirely?

This is the closest we've ever been, and I don't want to ruin anything.

Or what if she-

My thoughts got interrupted by Nya flinging water at my face.

"You good? You've been spacing out for like 30 seconds." She asks me.

"Yeah, I'm just...tired."

"Doesn't matter. You still have to do the
dare!"

I look over at Skylor.

She was just staring at the ground, her face was slightly red.

I feel so bad for her.

She clearly doesn't want to kiss me.

"Do I have to?" I ask Nya with a pleading face.

"Yes, now go!" She pushes my towards Skylor.

When I look at Skylor again... she looks very uncomfortable.

"Fine, I'll just kiss her on the cheek." I mumble, which would hopefully relax her.

I gave her a quick peck on the cheek, and move back to where I was sitting originally.

I didn't even get to see her expression after I kissed her.

But I know for a fact that she looked either disgusted or embarrassed.

Skylor's POV

My eyes begin to sting.

Of course he didn't want to kiss me.

I shouldn't have had my hopes up.

Why would he want to kiss me?

"Ok, I'll go now." Jay eventually says after about a minute of silence.  "Cole, truth or dare?"

A couple of rounds went on, and luckily, nobody had asked me any questions.

But I decided to clear my throat and say, "I'm pretty tired. I'm gonna head to bed."

They all say goodnight to me, and I go to my room.

When I walk into my room and shut the door, I began to cry.

I shouldn't have...

My thoughts got paused by someone knocking on my door.

"It's Nya. Can I come in?"

I don't want her to see me crying, so I
say, "Sorry but I wanna go to sleep."

She sighs. "That's fine. Good night."
