ED'S POV

As Clare drifts asleep, I couldn't help but smile. She's just that damn beautiful. I shouldn't be thinking this since we're work partners, but now. Even after multiple times yelling to myself that I shouldn't like her, it made me like her even more. I don't know what to do, but. I fix her bangs again and starred at her face. It just feels right. I smile to myself and suddenly the boys come back in the compartment completely grinning at us.

Al: Did you tell her yet?

Me: No and can you drop it? Give me time.

Al: You don't have forever you know.

I roll my eyes as they both sat down across from us.

Armstrong: You better seal it soon.

Me: And why's that?

Armstrong: Another man will come in and snatch her away.

I gulp and he shrugs.

Armstrong: That's life for yeah.

Al: I don't think that's going to happen that easy though Armstrong.

Armstrong: How so?

Al: Clare likes Ed. It's obvious.

My face starts to go red making them grin again.

Armstrong: That should be more of a reason to, shouldn't it?

Me: Well... I want to take things slow.

Al: If so, then damn your just as slow as a snail.

Me: I'm not that slow.

Al: Yeah sure....

I roll my eyes as I look at Clare. What am I going to do?

CLARE'S POV

As I wake up I notice I'm being carried by someone. I blink a couple times while rubbing my eyes a little to see Ed's carrying me in his arms. Wait hasn't this happened before? Déjà vu... As I move my arms to rub my eyes, Ed immediately notices that I'm up.

Ed: Hey sleepy, have a good rest?

I yawn while nodding.

Ed: That's good.

Me: I can probably walk now.

Ed: It'd be a better idea if I carried you back.

I go pink a little.

Me: I'm a big girl, I can handle it.

He lets me down and lets me attempt to walk. Smirking I begin walking until a pain shots through my stomach making me drop a little.

Me: Damn those painkillers have faded off.

Ed: Or not strong enough. Remember you're not fully healed yet, plus you have been pushing yourself a little too much lately.

I sigh.

Me: I guess your right.

He comes over to me and lifts me back up like before.

Me: You know, Al could've carried me since it wouldn't make him tired.

His face goes pink, but sarcastically winks over to Al.

Ed: But then who would carry the bags?

Me: We don't have that much bags and besides. They're all light.
